this was so good. Austin and Erin should have been in the final...he was so consistent throughout the competition!
This is my absolute fave dance of all time. Adore Erin Boag. Her style is just the best. Wish she was still on strictly.

i have lived in England for 6 months and this brought back chills down my spine remembering my home country....
AMAZING...this and Karen's and Mark's Argentine Tango deserved 40 points and to be in the BEST DANCES EVER...
My favourite Paso EVER! A-MAZ-ING! Len appauled me with his 8! It was brilliant!!!!!
Loved it but nothing will top the movie's last dance. Len is off his rocker, hes is the bad judge! Traditional, passion and no crap modern tunes...I loved it carried the paso passion especially with Erin, she is awesome. Its al about the eyes...and it was there in small doses...but yeah watch the movie for real paso..
absolutely stunning - my second favourite Strictly dance of all time (Mark and Karen's Argentine tango will take some beating)

Len always said that he hated all that 'messing about with the capes'. I guess he took that further to include Erin as the cape...personally I find it exciting to watch

Len might be an old moaner sometimes but in terms of Paso Doble steps, there was about 2 or 3 twist turns. That's it! All the Matedor Shaping, Spanish Lines, Flamenco taps, Apels, and Leaps are all features of the Paso Doble that characterises the dance and adds to the performance. They dont account much for Paso content however. That's what Len was about and I agree with him (and his mark) although it was undeniably a fantastic and entertaining performance, the best Paso of the series.
that was the best Paso Doble Strictly Come Dancing has ever had even better than darren and lilla!!!! I love Austin and Erin!!!

As much as i love Len as a judge, i did not agree with what he said.

so sad he's gone cried 4 like a week when he left now & i can't even watch the quarter final on my scd dvd cuz i cry when they do the 'moment of truth' it shud have been him and tom in the final
As someone who has watched Strictly since year 3 I can say , in my opinion, the marking has become generally more lenient. If Len did give 8 for this dance then that is a joke. A few weeks ago Greg Rutherford did a latin dance and it was very bad and yet it got a couple of 7''s. In fact, Greg was embarrassed by how bad it was and made it clear afterwards. Also, it's going like the US version in the sense almost every dance gets a standing ovation. I did watch a couple of their series when Len and Bruno were judging.

The same music that Jill Halfpenny used,but Austins routine isn't half as good,yet scored more.
The judges hand out tens too easily,i agree with Len...it was all show (check out Jill's routine)
really good shame the programme has lost something i think if they had the right music like this it would be better

If I remember rightly, Len developed a bit of Old Man Syndrome when he watched this one ....
I love Austin but the only thing authentic about this Paso is the music (and his Flamenco in the beginning) ! I don't agree with Len giving an eight but he's not a ten. The three judges later also admitted they were wowed by Austin's 'rugby aggression'. I mean, there is no real arch of the spine, not much Spanish lines to talk about (like waiter serving dishes in Pompeii). Go look at Jay Mcguiness' Paso (which didn't score tens until the final) and series 14's Danny Mac's Paso (only four nines). Those two were much better (and yet still scored lower than Austin's). Still, Austin was a very well-liked character in series 6...
It's truly amazing how one claims to be an expert while spouting such tripe as this.

Len is a miserable old git who doesn't see a dance as a show, just as a series of steps, one after the other, with maybe a bit of body language thrown in for good measure. Austin danced a Paso Doble. Did it have loads of technical choreography? No. Was it an amazing show? Undoubtedly.
I did'nt like this.
it was rubbish. all he did was walk around. len was right. their dance last week was rubbish too, they did the same move in it about 7 times. erin is just very good at disguising the fact that austin doesn't do much dancing.
