It was wild that this was your subject for this weeks video. I bought your rainbow bear pattern recently and have made several bears because I love the pattern! However, my granddaughter wanted a panda bear and I could not find a pattern that I liked as well as yours so I modified it. I gave it to her this weekend and she loved it!

How fantastic! I often modify my own patterns as well 😁, but I've not yet made a panda out of it. This is exactly the idea, mix and match ❤️🐻🐼

These are great tips! I'm working on a prisoner doll (Yes-my son is a Capt of detectives, thus the prisoner) and the legs instructions were really not my style....so in the middle of the night, I thought of a way to attach the leg to the shoe and so far it is working out much better. I'd love to see you do a tutorial on attaching the ears as neatly as you do. Mine always look like the teacher dragged the kid/bear across the room by his ear. LOL!! Be safe on your travels and I look forward to a Frankenstein doll/bear challenge!

Thanks, Arlyce 🌻How interesting to make a prisoner doll. It's good to experiment with what works and what doesn't work, and eventually we get better and better at tweaking and changing. On my pumpkin buddy tutorial, I do have a small section on how I attach ears 😊 And yes, the Frankenstein ami challenge is coming soon!

I know I have many doll patterns in my stash, I just need to look through and find one that doesn't look to difficult. I learned this first from old soul crochets free bunny pattern and i was so in love i do it to almost all my plushy makes. I love your bear. Those overalls are everything. You are absolutely right about clothes. It can really elevate your makes for sure. I want to learn how to make the body and head all in one piece. Who the heck gave the okay for that pocket to be put ON HIS LITTLE TUMMY LIKE THAT?! His TUMMY! 😨Wha-?! That person had better have been let go, that’s all I’m saying 😂 but honestly! The poor little guy 🥺 🐻💕 Your little bear has indeed been given a brilliant glow-up, Cassandra ✨🙌 He’s fabulous and those pants…flipping adorable 🥹💕
    This was such a helpful discussion/video 💝
I feel as though I have ticked the box on tip 1. I’m more than comfortable when it comes to opting for my choice of yarn and hook size for a pattern. However, I think I am definitely ready to start dabbling a lot more in the ‘Dr. Frankenstein’ phase 😄💕
For me, I think a lack of confidence and bouts of ‘but what-if’s’ get in the way of switching up and changing out larger aspects of patterns that I don’t like.
You are 100% right. Many of us have the knowledge, experience, skills and the resources to be able to go ahead and create/alter patterns to our own tastes. So for me I think it’s a case of finding a way to silence the doubts and instead focus on riding that creative wave and just going for it 💪😉
It’s going to take some time and a lot of experimenting on my end 😅, but videos and makes like yours always inspire me to try something new and/or give me the motivation to exercise my creativity just that little bit more ☺💞 You are such a dazzling and important gem in this community, Cassandra ✨Thank you for all you do!
Beyond excited for the Mix ‘n Match challenge 🙌✨ BRING IT ON!!! 😉😘❤!!
Wishing you safe and happy travels, lovely 💞 xx

Hello Lee 🤗 I had to start up the laptop for answering this comment, as my usual cellphone commenting just wouldn't have cut it 😉
I'm a pants gal through and through (last dress I wore was my wedding dress 🤣), so I think I should start perfecting pants for my amis. And you're right, whoever puts a pocket straight onto a crocheted toy's body should be sacked!
I feel extremely intimidated by these very big crochet channels and accounts, and always think I could never make anything that detailed. We're our own worst enemies! To be honest, I look at those amazing portraits you do and think the same, that there is no way I could ever make something like that. But one day, I will try one (but a mini one, as my crochet attention span is as short a goldfish's memory 🤣)
I would certainly love to see you Frankenstein some patterns. So be ready, my friend, you are being pre-tagged and double dared, and if I have my way, there will even be an official collab I will legally bind you to 😅 Hope you are feeling better and back to your old self soon, because I miss your videos 💕

    • @leemac
      @leemac 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@craftablyeverafter 🤣 Love it! Double dare, pre-tag, challenge, official collab tethering accepted 🙌!
You’re spot on about the ‘own worst enemies’ thing. Your ami’s are always impeccably detailed and as neat and precise as anyone can get, so I’ve no idea where your doubts are coming from!! Tell them to go away immediately, because my god they are so dead wrong!
I’m just about to finish a make that I’m beyond happy with, so hopefully will be up to making videos again soon 😊🤞
(Also, have just picked my ‘And Then There Were None’ pattern 😉 Thank you so much for including the links to the 2015 adaptation! Really enjoyed it. The tone was spot on from the start and I was pleasantly surprised to see Aidan Turner among the casting 😋 Such a dish 🤤) xx
