- 2022 Santa Cruz Chameleon MX review is here. In this episode of Hardtails on Hard Trails we headed to Moab, Utah to ride Amasaback, Hymasa, and Captain Ahab on the brand new Santa Cruz Chameleon MX. 25 years in the making, this chameleon has some up-to-date touches: 65* hta, adjustable dropouts to be run singlespeed or geared, 29er or MX wheelsize, threaded bb, ISCG tabs, 130mm travel with a Fox 34, SRAM UDH, bottle bosses on the top and bottom of the downtube, and the trusty aluminum frame we've all come to love.

You went from not getting the time of day from these companies to being given arguably one of the biggest Hardtail release of this year. Nice, Steve.
Thanks Cameron, I'm humbled any time a company sends me a bike for review.
@@hardtailparty Your focus only on HT MTBs is akin, in my view, to TSMC's focus only on chip manufacturing. Now, TSMC is the biggest chip manufacturer in the world.
And your channel, my mate, is probably the most popular 'HT only' MTB review channel on TH-cam!

A few more thoughts...
I'm 5'6" , 175lbs with short legs and a long torso. I like long reach bikes. This is a size med
1) watch the entire video, there's a lot of great info sprinkled throughout.
2) these burgtech bars are STIFF
3) this bike was announced a week ago. Bike launches often happen before models hit your dealership floors. These are shipping to dealers now, so you should start seeing them soon.
4) Who is this bike for? In my opinion, this bike is for people who don't feel like 140+mm of travel is better. This bike is for people who CHARGE the trail. Sure you can mosey on it, but it really comes alive when you attack the trail. This is best suited for aggressive riders and people who are going to push traction to the limit. I feel this bike is best suited for blue trails, and back diamond trails. It lost a little of it's fun on green trails that the previous model had. The previous one was better at pump tracks, popping off stuff, jumps, and bikepacking. This bike wants to plow and charge more than the last one.
5) Who is this bike NOT for? Its not for bargain basement shopers. It's not for people looking for a lightweight xc machine. It's not amazing for people who just want to sit and spin xc-like and turn with the bars like we did in the 90s. It's not for people who are coming off a 10 year old bike and they don't want to adapt their riding technique to suit the newer geometry. This is a modern bike and really does respond well to modern riding technique. In the MX format, it wouldn't be my first choice as a bikepacking rig.
6)This bike is one of the more expensive aluminum hardtails out there. This bike isn't for the bargain shopper who wants the best component spec for the price. This bike is for someone who is willing to pay a bit more for that special sauce in the ride feel, for the Santa Cruz name, for the lifetime warranty and exceptional parts support and dealer support, and for the geometry and way it handles. While it's more expensive than direct to consumer bikes, i feel like this bike is far more than the sum of its components, especially when you consider it's versatility. Is it a bargain? No. Is it worth the extra price? That's up to you, but i think so.
7) i feel like between the R and S builds, there isn't a clear winner for value. They're priced pretty cimparitovely to each other. One huge benefit of the S build is that it had a dt370 hub (yuck) that can be retrofitted to eventually accept a 54t ratchet for better engagement. The S build also ha sa nicer fork, brakes, and drivetrain.
8) if you enjoy my reviews and they benefit you, consider becoming a patron to support this channel. Patreon.com/hardtailparty
9) Moab doesn't have a lot of hardtail-friendly trails, but i wanted to push this bike to see what it's capable of.
10) this bike is an aluminum hardtail. It's not supple. It's still a ahrdtail and you feel all those bumos. It is, however, more comfortable than a lot of other aluminum bikes like the connencal meta, the alloy Kona honzo, the specialized fuse, and most other alloy hardtails. I feel like the ragley big Al, and the banshee paradox are a step softer than this, but i was surprised the chameleon wasn't more harsh.
11) when adjusting the dropouts, make sure to adjust each side a little at a time when the wheel is in there. The dropout design doesn't causes the bolts to turn sideways when one dropout is skid back more than the other. I love the dropout design, it saves at least half a pound over other sliding dropouts, you just have to treat it a little differently.
12) Stay tuned for more comparisons and experimenting once i get a set of 29er dropouts for it. I have a feeling I'm going to love it even more as a 29er, especially for bikeacking and more mellow trail days.
What's the difference between the dropouts? I suppose the 29er dropouts put the wheel a little higher?
@@endianAphones the dropouts preserve the same geo between wheel sizes. One of the few bikes to ever do this.
Such good points to consider here!
@@hardtailparty didnt know that, now patiently (maybe not so patient) waiting on the 29er build and review!!
Thank you for the thorough comment. I was particularly interested to know the differences between the SCC, Paradox and Big Al. Best.
For real, this video is awesome. That trail is a national treasure and Mr. Party over here is making it look, well, like a party! Those climbs are really hard, y'all... Well done!
You made me want two things. A Chameleon and to ride that trail. That place looks sick! I’m sure after a few days of riding then doing that on the Hardtail you were feeling it. Great review.
Have you not ridden Ahab yet? It's one of my favorite trails on the planet. Moab + hardtail = big smiles and sore joints.
The best upgrade on my hardtail was installing the PNW Coast dropper. It is the ONLY dropper with 40mm of air suspension. It saved my lower back.
The bike service is worth it. He spends the time to interact one on one through several emails to understand what you need and narrow down the choices to what will be best for you. Saves a lot of time and a lot of money(by avoiding buying the wrong bike).
Thanks for the kind words Bill. It's been a pleasure working with you. Thanks for supporting my work and making this channel possible.
Hey Bill, I’m curious to know which bike you went with?
You make me want one Steve. Looks awesome.
I should have had you ride mine, i totally forgot to offer.
You should find and restore a 1st gen for a team-up comparison video!
@@hardtailparty Steve what's your favorite hardtail fork?
I've watched quite a few of your vid's and really enjoy them, thanks!
While going though the process of replacing my main hardtail I eventually got it down to two. I was on-the-fence for almost a week about THIS bike or the Honzo. Honestly it was really the test rides that convinced me, but your reviews on the 2022 Chameleon DID indeed help me make up my mind--or at least inspire me to just not wait anymore. I ended up w/the "AL R" build full 29er (XL) and after taking a few quick-rides on this monster my love and faith for hardtails is totally renewed! I really mean that. This bike is the sickest HT ride I think I've ever been on. Without the "feeling" when you ride over something w/o rear suspension, this thing _seriously feels_ like a FS bike when you're on a flat or smoother surface. It has a little bit of small bump plush to it's glide and ride, and the FOX forks are really nice even though I typically like Rockshox up front and FOX rear shocks. NO problem here, these forks are as nice as you've claimed in your reviews. You nailed it bro.
For as slack as these things looks, both in pic's and by the geo', the stays are short enough to make it feel poppy when you want it too. When you ride it "planted" and let your weight sink the center of gravity it really digs in and feels super solid. As soon as you get up and shift your weight to where you want, it agrees with you that it's time to move and never feels off-balance (like there's an imaginary anchor tethering you to the BB center of gravity). This is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a fully capable hardtail. I basically wanted the "experience" of my Stumpy but in a hardtail that would pedal and enjoy the paths in New England, dirt rail trails, and fire road trails. I'm convinced I could take this Chameleon almost anywhere that Stumpjumper would go--no exaggeration. I'm so impressed with this bike that it doesn't hurt as much when I think of what it cost. Even IF this was available in carbon, and I could spring for that extra cost, I wouldn't want it in carbon. When you're rockin' this thing you can't tell. I might like carbon rims on this, but I'm 100% satisfied as it is, which includes the minor upgrades I do to customize the fit.
Once you test ride this thing it makes the other HTs in its price range seem like they're missing something. Thanks a million though for your thorough, accurate, and honest reviews about this bike. That's even more evidence in support of your expertise. Best hardtail videos bar none.

Congrats on a killer bike. I'm thrilled to hear my reciews helped you. Have fun on your new bike.
Stoked to hear you are getting experimental with this one. It deserves it!
Nice review. I've had my new Chameleon 8 for a few days now and it's a very impressive bike. I love it.
I just purchased this bike and i switched the back 27.5 for 29 inch wheels, its really nice to have both options because one might be better than the other in different scenarios
Appreciate the comparison to the last chameleon, really liked that bike for how versatile it was. Could make it down almost everything I can on a full sus but it was still lively on mellower trails.
I've since moved on to a '21 Chisel as I wanted something faster and lighter. These slacked out hardtails don't appeal to me as if I'm riding steeper chunkier terrain, I'd rather be on my full sus they are easier on the joints/body. The Chisel is great for mellower stuff and is surprisingly capable with a 120mm 34 and dropper. That said I'm gonna experiment with dropping the fork down to 110mm and a -1 headset (shoutout to spesh for using a ZS headset)
I’m pretty sure you have the best bike review videos on TH-cam. Every time I jump on here my fingers are crossed that there’s a new video from you just waiting for me to watch. You’ve got me pumped to get a 29er that will fit 3.0 tires. Leaning towards a Surly Krampus with a -2 degree headset but would like to get something made in the USA. I spent $1000 at competitive cyclist the other day and used your link. I hope you get a cut. Thanks for all the hard work making videos for me to watch.
Thank you so much for using my link, that definitely helps. It means a ton. By the way, you're going to love the bike I'm designing.
@@hardtailparty Steve, your own design? Are you coming out with your own brand?
Thanks for these videos, helped me make my decision and picked up my 2022 Chameleon today! Took it out and it was a blast on my local trails. Can't wait to take it out some more. Love the videos, keep up all the good work!
Nice! 👍 Which build did you end up going with? And did you go 29er or mullet?
Absolute Bananarama! Steve, thanks again for clearly translating your experience on the most recent version of Santa Cruz’s Chameleon. Beautiful backdrop to another fantastic video crammed full of attention to details most of us have trouble describing! Grayson has some skillzzz! Thanks for your Hard Work!
I thought I was going to say "I LOVE THIS BIKE" and run out and get one. Based on the review, my 2018 Chameleon is staying with me (160mm coil, mullet, SS). Same basic head angle, seat angle means nothing (who sits on a SS???) but the playful nature of the previous model is what I love about it. Having said that, I do still want to try this to see if it has a place as a geared hardtail down the road.
The bike looks great but that trail is something else! You got some great footage of an amazing trail on a beautiful day.
Spectacular!
It is indeed an incredible trail.
I think you put it in the right perspective. I love 21 Chameleon for my local flat stuff. But seeing the Geo change, I think it would be too slack for the XC I do, and not enough travel for the DH type stuff I end up doing with my Bigwig.
big ups for doing this review at Ahab! I remember when you posted the last chameleon review there, that video made me need to get mine!
Another great review, thanks Steve.
While I appreciate the prestige, warranty and technical support from Santa Cruz; when you compare the asking price for the Chameleon R 29 (£3000) or D 29 (£2400), with the Ragley Big Al 1.0 (£1400) it's a lot to take in. Not saying it won't be worth it... but it's a big ask.
Yes, it's a lot of money for an nx aluminum hardtail. One other thing to consider is resale value. It's kind of like a Tacoma. Far more money than a Chevy Colorado, but when you go to sell it you get most of it back.
The big Al is a fantastic value. We're also comparing a direct to consumer price to a dealership model.
@@hardtailparty I agree with you regarding resale value, especially considering the current state of the second hand market.
In the UK Ragley are a dealership brand, my two LBS do Ragley and Santa Cruz. Spoilt for choice...
Keep up the great work, I look forward to the 29er review
Great review. Ended up going with the Chameleon over the Roscoe. Moving up from a Marin Bobcat. I’m excited to progress!
I have always felt that I have needed a chameleon for many years and versions. Maybe one day
I've watched a bunch of your videos as I'm considering swapping out my 2008 Yeti ASR 26 for a hardtail. One thing I noticed in this video is how this bike sounds. When you're dropping a ledge or landing a jump the bike sounds more put together and solid. There's not a lot of extra noise. The tires hit, absorb, and off you go. Great review, thanks
That's the beauty of plus tires. Also, I wear a microphone on my chest, so it picks me up more than the bike. But this is a very smooth and quiet bike.
I love what they did with this bike. I Iike the option to switch the rear wheel size. I agree about the cable routing too. Give me external routing any day.
Great video! Dan and I rode Captain Ahab on Saturday and it was a blast! Sorry we missed you.. We were racing the sun so we didn't session things and clear everything but it was amazing. I got a flat from a rim strike and you were right about those darts. We were back on the trail after 3-5 minutes.
Awesome. Several years back I decided i would clean the entire trail, and it forever changed that trail for me.
Awesome review! I bought my 2021 AL Chameleon because of the original Chameleon review. Seeing this, I don't have as much FOMO since I still ride green and blue trails in Norcal and occasional visits to the skills park/pump track. Definitely a long-awaited update, but you wasted no time on the review. Keep it up Steve!
I think your chameleon fits your terrain better than this one. Glad you're loving it, it's a special bike.
Been waiting for this. Thinking the last version probably suits my moderate riding and central Illinois trails better than this. Now to get the wife on board and hope everyone goes and buys this new version so there's lots of newer used ones to choose from!
Smart thinking!
I commented on your last video, and just watched your review here. After talking to my lbs about our local trails, and thinking about where I usually ride, I'm going ahead with getting the 29er.
I know it's not as xc oriented as the last model, but I think it will be okay since my local stuff is more undulating than flat (and our city is building a bike park!) and the odd race is more about seeing new trails and meeting people for me than about competition. In either case, it will be worth trying something radically different to what I'm used to!
Keep us posted what you think of it. This bike really has to be ridden aggressively to come alive. Don't hold back on it. :)
@@hardtailparty will do! I'll probably only get a handful of rides this year since it is scheduled to arrive in November, but I'm excited!
@@joelhenderson3723 are you going with a 120 or 130 fork?
@@frostycubed8748 new model is only available with a 130 fork, and geometry was designed around that.
Great review as usual.
Although I have to admit I think I'm happy with my 2019 model for the way I plan to ride it.
I really respect that. The old chameleon is still one of my all-time favorite hardtails. I wish i could find one.
@@hardtailparty I bought my 2018 because of your review, after your wife pointed me to it in a comment.
Long live our mighty SC Chameleons! 2021 Raspberry Sorbet n’ grey, everyday.🤘🏼🦎❤️
best color ever made
Great review! I’m torn between this bike and a Kona Honzo esd. I like to convert to single speed in the winter and gears for summer, trail ride a lot but hit the bike park with my son on the weekends. Both bikes seem about perfect for this, so I guess it’s a win-win situation of the two bikes lol! Keep up the good work 🤙
this frame is seriously on my top 3 hardtail frames.. so sleek and ugh sooo clean
re hub engagement: it's $220 (Australian) for the Shimano 54 tooth upgrade. I looked into it to upgrade my old 350 with the 18 tooth. Absolutely stupid money for 2 bits of metal.
Great review :) any comments on bike park / pump track handling, playfulness?
Awesome video and bike. A nice comparison will be TREK ROSCOE 9 /2022 vs SANTA CRUZ CHAMELEON 2022.
Hope to see this on your channel since i value your oppinion very much.
Ty.
They ride extremely different.
@@hardtailparty Can't wait to see your ride review! Sounds like the Chameleon will win, but it's still so fun watching your rides and the details you cover. The choices are endless, so the nuances make all the difference for us brainiacs lol!
Man, just have to say again I love that color.
You need a "What a Bike" badge to display for these kinds of bikes.
Great review, Steve! I've had my eye on a hardtail upgrade for awhile, and will definitely need to check out the Chameleon. Looks like an incredibly beautiful trail as well.
Man you are an amazing climber! You never seem out of breath
Actually, I'm often out of breath. Talking while climbing is especially hard.
@@hardtailparty well i dont hear it. you are true inspiration to watch. i have only ridden hardtails because i feel connected to the earth below me. so happy i found your channel thanks so much..
@@jny78 welcome to the party. I'm always glad to meet more people that love hardtails
Cant wait for mine to come in!! Already have a set of SC Reserves and a hope hubs waiting! As someone who MX'd a 2020 chameleon this new geo is gonna be much better for going downhill fast. Might have to make a Downieville trip!
I'd be worried the reserves would make it too stiff. They're beautiful wheels though.
The S build has a 370 DT rear hub. It has pawls but you can convert the inside to a 350 ratchet setup. It takes a special puller and a huge amount of leverage.
Correct, but it can be swapped. Dt was swapping them at sea otter all week. It's not ideal, but it's better than having to lace an entirely new hub up.
I love the color they chose. Looks like a great bike the way it's setup. I wish my shop sold Santa Cruz. 🤙🏼
Don't forget to try it with your XC 29er wheels and maybe a 120 mm fork! Just don't use those older, thin Schwalbe tires... 😏
Always so Informative. Well done Steve!
another splendid review,Steve. Wishing for that bike now
9:11 sick Steve! Nice clean!
That's a tough one. Definitely easier with a 29er rear wheel
Love the review and the Tonka Truck Yellow sold me to go with the new geo. Keep up the great reviews.
Test rode one of these yesterday. XL frame. Geometry just didn't feel right, I'm 6'3". Cockpit felt a bit cramped. It is a beautiful frame, a work of art.
You're 190cms, & the 490mm Reach of the XL felt "cramped"? That's interesting, 490cms Reach would normally be on the high side for someone your height;
maybe you have a super long torso & short legs?
I'm curious to learn from other people's first hand experiences as it is impossible to swing over a leg on this bike where I live; thanks in advance for any info you might share.
The S build has Dr swiss 370 hubs vs SRAM hubs on the D and R. Hopefully it's the SRAM hubs you don't like so one can just S spec out of this defect. Changing the hub seems to be labor intensive. Maybe $50 plus?
The moment we've all been waiting for
I gave the last gen r build with a 27.5plus and niner wheel set. Need to try it mixed.
Great review as always!! Certain like the looks of the new Chameleon. That price tag tho...Looking forward to you getting experimental with it!
“Playful w/o being and overbuilt, over forked, over slacked hardtail” seems like they hit the target 🎯 for me and others that love hardtail’s for most trails and don’t want a tank.
Yeah you can go too slack
Nice review, also nice trail, also makes me want one, have nowhere to put it tho, although that hardly has stopped anyone.
And now, after this video; the Chameleon will be sold out in one day... 😂 Awesome video, I want one now 🤘😎. thank for the content. 👍
they are pretty hard to find where I'm at. But then again most bikes are atm.
@@fortunateson2 Yup, crazy times we are living now, just hoping for the better!
Left Moab a couple weeks ago and did the Navajo rocks loop which for my budget hardtail is maybe pushing it a bit but it was a fantastic trail having a bit of everything with slick rock ,tech up and down and some flow .
That's such a fun trail. I rode it last week on my rigid ss klunker. Video coming soon.
Can't wait to see the different wheel orientation
Interesting. I’d love to see you check back in with the Paradox and see how it stacks up with everything that’s come out and been tested over the last year. I’ve always had one eye on the Chameleon but can’t decide which way to go.
sounds like you'd be a perfect candidate for my bike consultation service. I still ride my paradox regularly, it's a fantastic bike.
Looks so fun! Would it work 27.5+ front and rear or is it really a 29er?
That’s what I would like to know as well🤔
I wonder how it compares to the 2021 Orbea Laufey. The geo on paper is very similar.
I bought the Laufey because of this channel and I could not be happier.
Great video, What’s the difference between the old and new models, can you convert 2019 model into the same spec or is the frame geromerey different all together?
the bike is pretty sick dude !!!
great video
Hi Steve, another greate video. Thanks for the test and the very good information about it. Regards from Germany.
Looks like this bike might be the closest thing to a Paradox but with sliding dropouts. About the same price for the frame too.
I kinda want this, but I really really want a Banshee Paradox!!
both are fantastic bikes.
You sound pretty happy with the new Chameleon! Sounds like it's maybe not right for Boise xc trails, but then again is super versatile.
Awesome review! Thanks Steve!
great review as always. So awesome that you can ride a hardtail over that terrain. Have you ever tested a chumba? I love the geo of the sendero and even the stella
I haven't been able to convince chumba to send in a frame. I'd love to one day. I've ridden a sendero in a parking lot for a few pedals, but not enough to get a feel for it
I have the newest one ordered in matte black can’t wait for it to come in!
Did you get it yet?
Sure did been loving it!
@@nathanstone4416 same! I chose Yellow R MX with flat pedals. Might change the stem to 35mm in the future!

After viewing your unboxing video I've been Anticipating your ride review and it hit the nail ride on the head for me too. Great review and riding as usual...I need some desert riding in my life.
Is there a noticeable difference on the flats and climbs if coming from a Rocky Mountain Growler 40?
Very beautiful trail. Awesome riding!
Great review Steve. Great comparison with the older version. I think the older version is a better fit for the riding I do. Now If I can find one…
Question steve, I am a big fan of the SC chameleon of building the chameleon from the frame up and run 27.5 wheels could the chameleon with a 150mm fork vs the 130mm it comes with?
No carbon options? WOO YEAH BABY. THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!
Not against carbon fibre bikes btw, but they tend to be more expensive and damaging to the environment long term!
Le
Puedes poner 3” tires 27.5 ? Gracias buen vídeo 👍🏽👍🏽
Love SC bikes, but don’t like how they recycle same colors on different models, but hate they never brought back the Japanese pink
Another awesome video. The sticker on the logo didn´t last long, though hehe.
Stunning scenery! Wow!
I think they nailed it with this one
Great video! How does this compare to the new timberjack in your opinion?
when you compare this new model (as an MX) to the old bike as a 29 it seems like you're not comparing apples to apples. Making this a full 9er may bring it to feeling much more like their old bike.
Great review as always, with the 20mm shorter seat tube what size are the droppers now Steve?
I know you are a big fan of the 130mm and it's cool to see you riding it all the chunky stuff. My first and only hardtail is the meta ht with 160mm fork. I do decent size drops jumps so I always thought the 160mm was more of a benefit for me. Do you find the 130mm can still handle some bigger drops like 8-10ft? This bike looks sick so just wanted to see what you thought!
To optimize a hardtail for lots of slow speed drops and huck to flsts, big travel makes more sense (and full sus makes even more sense). However, you'll pay a price for regular trail riding with the dive and geo changes of a big fork. That said, I'd have no issues hitting 10 foot drops on a 130mm fork, provided it had a good steep downhi landing (like dth in Bentonville)
@@hardtailparty thanks for the thorough reply. Definitely looking forward to a full sus one day, my knees especially, but really enjoying the hardtail life for now.
Thanks for a great review! I might have to perform some mental gymnastics to justify the $1000+ CAD price increase for the sliding dropouts haha. Could you reach out and try a Canyon Stoic 4 if possible? in an xs size even as I'm 5'5"/5'6" with 28" inseam (27.5 wheels xxs-sm vs the 29er m-xl).
Tha Stoic comes with a 64 HTA and Pike Select fork and I figured that it's a super solid deal at only $2400 CAD since I'll have a better fork than the competition and can always change the drivetrain for less.
Some of the bikes I've been comparing it to are the Ragley MmmBop, Marin San Quentin 2/3, and this Santa Cruz Chameleon. Thank you for publishing these hardtail reviews!
I'm the same size as you and I'm hoping for a medium stoic. Canyon doesn't have any bikes available to send me for review.
@@hardtailparty Thanks for the reply, I was using the Canyon size finder and they recommended me the xs since they run a size larger than the other brands acording to others. But I'm usually in between sm and med sizes anyways.
Looks Like I'll need to get your patreon over winter here and figure out what I need vs want!
@@ShortGuac The Canyon online sizing is off. Read up on it. A lot of returns due to this. I'm usually a medium on most brands and Canyon told me i was small. Luckily my friend got a small i could try and as i thaught it was too small. Wayy too small. If you're familiar with your numhers look at them and you'll see it.
Looks like a great bike, but as you said in point 5, it's not for the bargain basement shopper. When looking at just buying the frame, is it worth roughly twice the price of the Big Al given how close the geo is on these two bikes? Stack, reach, HT and ST angles virtually the same. Just the option to adjust for a shorter chainstay on the Chameleon. But as you always say, numbers don't tell the whole story.
The geo feels quite different between the two to me. There's no doubt the big Al is an incredible value.
Hello. I'm hesitating between the Santa Cruz Chameleon and the Kona Honzo ESD Steel. Yes. The geometry is very different. But I'd still like to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks
I do my bike consultation over on Patreon. I'd be happy to help you over there.
Thanks for a great review. I wish SC did this like kona with the ESD, both honzos still available. A previous gen built light and new gen chameleon built as a burlier trail bike would be a great 2 bike hardtail stable. I want both ! Any idea on frane weight?
No idea on frame weight. I'd have to completely disassemble the brake hoses to strip them to get a weight and I'm not willing to do that. I've heard rumors of Santa Cruz posting weight numbers online somewhere.
New Chameleon seems pretty solid.
How are you riding with a hoodie! Mad props awesome review as always

Amazing review as always, better at it than anyone else. And great riding! I wouldn't dare do that withouht at least 150mm travel front and rear.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts running 29 front and rear.
Thank you for the kind words, it means a lot.
Great review! I'm considering the Cameleon or a Pipedream Sirius S5. I know they're fairly different bikes, but I'd love to see a review for the Sirius S5 to know if it's any good.
funny you should mention the sirius s5...
Excellent riding and reviews, which bike would be more suitable for heavy rider (285lb) this chameleon or Roscoe 9.??
Thanks.
Neither. You need the stiffness of carbon at that weight.
For a general all-around bike would you suggest this, the 2022 Trek Roscoe 8, or a Specialized Fuse Comp?
It depends. I'd be happy to make a specific recommendation to you over on Patreon.
I wonder if putting a 27.5 front wheel on it would mello it out more for green and blue trails? another good one man cheers!
probably
Can you do a review of the Surly Krampus! :)
Thank you! Looking forward on your review of the Krampus 29+ :)
Love your work!
