When I was a kid the power went out during a storm. I was laying on my bed with some candles reading a book i think. I had my window cracked and it was letting in a great stream of air. For some reason it's one of the most peaceful memories I have.
As an avid camper, I have lived in a tent in the woods for up to a month at a time. Electric storms are not very cozy in real life. Even though you’re surrounded by trees which will get stuck before you do, you can still get hurt if those trees fall or a heavy bough falls on you. Then there’s the issue of your tent flooding or collapsing due to the weight of the water on the roof of it. Depending on how long and how heavy the rain continues, you might spend anywhere from a night to several days or even up to a week soaking wet with no time to dry out your sleeping bag, clothing or equipment because the rain just does not let up. And don’t even get me started on mold and mildew that is just unavoidable in the woods when it’s wet. And despite all of that, I love these rain on a tent ASMR’s… Probably because we love a lot of things that suck in real life, but we love them in our imaginations
Not to mention having to leave your tent in the middle of a rainstorm because you have to pee… No matter how many ponchos or umbrellas you take you are going to track water into your tent. It helps to have one of those two room tents to prevent your sleeping area from getting worse than it might be. Something else they will talk about? Heavy rain is atrociously loud when hitting the roof of your tent… Like, you need air plugs type loud. Sometimes when the rain drops it just right, they sound like the crackle of fire and if you’re in anyway sensitive to that you will be awakened from a deep sleep… I am serious.
Hate to break it to you man, this one isn't real. The tent and trees isn't moving, yet you can see wind gusts blowing to the side. Also there are no rain drops consistently running off the tent. But regardless of it being real or fake, the sound is definitely very good and its the reason I come here.
I fall asleep to this video almost every night! Thank you for creating this. It puts me out fast , and I was drawn to the fact that the environment was darker, so I can put it on my tv without feeling overwhelmed with the light ! 😂❤ anyone relate ?

I listen to this every single night. It's the best rain sound out there. No thunder, no street scenes, no loud rain drops, no changes in brightness, no obvious looping. It's just 10 hours of uninterrupted bliss

This is my "go to" post. The right rain sound. Good thunder. I can close my eyes and teansport myself into the scene. Funny what we need just to sleep but it is what it is.

Hi my dear friend! I woke up now after sleeping all night with this beautiful music in the background. But I'm still tired, I'm paying the price after a lot of physical effort cleaning up the flooded space and equipment after the storm. Lots of pain... but oh well. It's normal to feel that way since I'm not fully recovered yet. Despite the fatigue and pain, my sleep was good. My exercise to relax was looking at this boat on the lake and imagining myself lying on the boat, floating and looking at the moon...wow...so relaxing, I could feel the gentle swells of the lake making the boat gently rock, and so, little by little I fell asleep. I woke up well, despite being a little nauseous. It could have been because of the swing of the boat...lol I'm kidding It was because of the pain medication I took, which is very strong But the experience of falling asleep feeling like I was inside the boat and having the music as the frame of the process was amazing! My dear friend Kim, your music really has a special ingredient called love, because I can feel like you like what you do. This is really special! It strikes a nerve everytime someone expresses how "nasty" or "bad" the day is because its overcast or rainy/snowy. It shows me how unatached from nature people really are. If you dont see the amazing beauty in a night like this, maybe you should rethink yourself.

This is cosy and creepy at the same time, which is the perfect combination to help me fall asleep. I love that it's dark. Plus, I love how the patter and swill of rain is complemented by the cracking and rolling of thunder. ⛈🌙🏕😴
This reminded me of a morning years ago as a kid, woke up one Sunday morning, my parents, uncles and a few cousins stayed at my grandparents house, I woke up at 6 am, STILL remember the time, and the thunder ⛈️ ⚡⚡ lightning, and rain were coming down, my cat crawled into bed with me 😻 purring, curled up, it was like THAT that rain is so magic.

I've always been extremely sensitive to noise. A lot of roommates in the past have played white-noise or atmospheric stuff like this and I was nearly driven to tears because I hated it so much. This is literally the only thing I've ever found that is actually nice. Its a great experience for me, honestly

I've always been extremely sensitive to noise. A lot of roommates in the past have played white-noise or atmospheric stuff like this and I was nearly driven to tears because I hated it so much. This is literally the only thing I've ever found that is actually nice. Its a great experience for me, honestly
