As a Bengals fan, while I agree 100% about Bengals' run game, the defense is vastly different from last year. Stone and Bell are a much better combo than Hill and Scott was at Safety and that was where the crux of the issue on defense was. Neither Scott nor Hill could communicate and that led to issues in front of them. That's been fixed, so the passing defense is looking SO much better this year (to Burrow's annoyance in practice). Dax Hill has been looking stellar as a boundary CB now (to the point that Caleb Williams was too scared to throw his way in the preseason game). The run defense... it is hard to predict til the front four play together, cause Anarumo is completely changing the DL schemes with Reader gone now. Plus, Bengals got so many good linebackers that they are debating running 6 LBs instead of the normal 5 cause Njongmeta and Heyward are doing exceptionally well. The entire air to the starting and even some depth in the defense got the 2022 lockdown defense feel to it and I can't wait to see what they have in store. Just today, Bengals starting D locked down the Colts starting O so badly that they were complaining about needing a better challenge. 🤣 Despite all the injuries happening in preseason, I'm still optimistic about Bengals chances, especially with a likely easier schedule than the Ravens, Browns, and Steelers.
right i think everyone is forgetting the bengals have the losers schedule this year. also yeah it's nice to see defense actually win against the offense in practice
@@seansimmons6932 With the best OL he's ever had? I'd say it's definitely possible. Burrow did win against the Browns in 2022 with Garrett active in that game. It's all dependent on how healthy the OL is when the Bengals face the Browns.
My hope as a Steelers fan is that we can't possible do worse with Russel Wilson or Justin Fields at QB than we did with the combined efforts of Trubisky, Pickett, and Rudolph. If they managed to go 10-7 with that QB room, the tragedy of an OC that was Matt Canada, firing said OC mid season, and the wrecking ball that went through the MLB room (remember, they had to bring back Myles Jack near the end of the season just to have enough bodies in that position,) surely they can do at least as well this year.

i swear ya'll forgot about the bengals after joe burrow got injured. they said the two best young Qb's were john Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Joe Burrows record of them both is 4-1. WE'LL BE BACK!
Ok, halfway through the video. THANK YOU for picking the Stokely Hathaway "aside from my own actions, what have i done to deserve this" meme for Watson. Wrestling is giving the world so many memes and funny clips (Stokely being amongst the top guys for that). I think more people should take advantage of that.
I think the Browns ceiling should be higher. Ceiling indicates how high they could be, it doesn't mean the most likely outcome. The Browns will be an elite team if Watson is a good QB again. They have a QB with the potential to be "that guy" on the roster, just up in the air if he will.
I'm baffled by the Bengals 6-11 floor. This team played without their superstar quarterback at full health, or without him entirely, for the full season and went 9-8. In what world do they go 3 games worse this year if Burrow is healthy?
I'm gonna be real honest with you, Grossi...I don't envy the man who puts his AFCN predictions on the internet for everyone to see. This division (I'm a Bengals fan) is unsane and unpredictable. This is Joe Burrow's first ever full training camp and preseason, though. And he played in the preseason. I think the Bengals are running it this year.
@cmonkey3698 No... they don't have the same record against each other. And the real difference is Mahomes has multiple League MVPs, Superbowl MVPs and Lombardi trophies... Burrow has zero.
One thing about the Bears with Fields is that they were always #1, or close to #1, in terms of a rushing offense. The Steelers can do the same thing, opening up play action and helping out that O Line they have. I still think they'll find a way to claw themselves to 9-8 or 10-7 lol. That last chunk of their schedule is BRUTAL though.
The Bengals got better in every area you listed as a concern from last year, and Burrow is healthy. Mixon is not a loss any Cincy fan is worried about. They will win the division and their ceiling is 13-4.
It really is tho. Best offensive line he's ever had, best TE in Mike Gesicki he's ever had, Joe Mixon to Zach Moss is no big concern considering we finished 31st in rushing last year, so really we couldnt possibly be any worse, way easier schedule, and replaced all of our holes on defense. Now that doesnt mean the defense is fixed, but every area was patched up or worked on for sure. Went 1-5 last season in the division, so again I'd take the over this year. Better defense, best offense/roster Joe's ever had, and very easy schedule. It's absolutely possible Bengals get 13-14 wins if it all goes right.
@@lakeozarkrei3767 Well when they went 12-4 2 seasons ago, they lost 3 to the division 1 each team and 1 with the Cowboys in Week 2, so yes, they are very good against teams that aren't the best division in Football
The Steelers are always an interesting team to predict. They always like to play the tough opponents well and usually they play the easy ones terrible and win by the skin of their teeth. Last year for the week by week predictions you got every Steeler game wrong until like week 15. They are just so unpredictable and you can’t every get your hopes up which is what I did last year😣
Outside of the division, the Bengals play the Patriots, at Chiefs, Commanders, at Panthers, at Giants, Eagles, Raiders, at Chargers, at Cowboys, at Titans, and Broncos. Aside from the Chiefs and maybe Cowboys, tell me against whom they won't be favored? It's an 11-6/12-5 team with that schedule, presuming Burrow stays healthy. Unless Burrow gets hurt early, I don't see how 6-11 is conceivably on the table.
If Slim Shady (aka Joe Burrow) stays healthy, I could really see the Bengals winning this division. Because of how absolutely brutal the AFC North is, I really don't see the Ravens (or any of the other three teams) getting the #1 seed again.

@@xngscout5357 he talking bout me lol, he dont think bengals can be 13-4. Which is his opinion.
watched 6 seconds. flawless analysis. no notes.
steelers prediction is off. Floor is 9-8, ceiling is 13-4 and losing AFC championship game.
Despite all the injuries happening in preseason, I'm still optimistic about Bengals chances, especially with a likely easier schedule than the Ravens, Browns, and Steelers.
Stone and bell suck
right i think everyone is forgetting the bengals have the losers schedule this year. also yeah it's nice to see defense actually win against the offense in practice
You think Burrow can win against Myles Garrett this season?
@@seansimmons6932 With the best OL he's ever had? I'd say it's definitely possible.
Burrow did win against the Browns in 2022 with Garrett active in that game. It's all dependent on how healthy the OL is when the Bengals face the Browns.
@@xboxbam3979 sounds hopeful, look forward to a competitive game then👌
Man you made the Steelers so specific! Their floor is 0-17 and the ceiling is 17-0. All the other ones are right though.
As a Ravens fan I’ve never been more nervous but excited for a season
As a Bengals fan same. We never know what's going to happen with the afc north
@@Nzgoldentree1985 fr. I can’t ever enjoy watching division rival games with the Ravens. It’s a fucking stress nightmare
Same, as another Ravens fan.
I am a Ravens fan and their offensive line sucks. Prepare for a long season
Aww... I was kinda hoping you'd start off the AFC with the South, though I certainly understand starting with the North...
Love this channel! Unlike many "analysts" do, he gives much more entertaining views, but backed up with facts, whereas the others try to argue based solely on "potential" views.
Steelers actual floor: 8-8-1 💀
Tom, I appreciate that you sense how hard us fans have it in the AFC North when it comes down to figuring out how well we will do. However, I hope your predictions are not wrong :) BTW that intro was spot on.
i swear ya'll forgot about the bengals after joe burrow got injured. they said the two best young Qb's were john Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Joe Burrows record of them both is 4-1. WE'LL BE BACK!
I mean CEILING of 10-7 is crazy and a floor of 6-11 is as well
The thing I'm most scared about is week 2. We normally have slow starts and the cheifs are hard even in late season
nah, the Chiefs are so much more than their offense, at least Tom isn't a meat rider like the rest of them
@cheeeeeeeader-df2ek well considering Joe burrow is gonna miss half the year that's a actually a valid win to lose ratio
@@thewavyprince5691 wtf he's not who told you that
Ok, halfway through the video. THANK YOU for picking the Stokely Hathaway "aside from my own actions, what have i done to deserve this" meme for Watson.
Wrestling is giving the world so many memes and funny clips (Stokely being amongst the top guys for that). I think more people should take advantage of that.
Bengals 13-4 ravens 12-5 Pittsburgh Steelers 11-6 browns 6-11 or 10-7 all depends if they can stay healthy
How in the fuck would the bengals only have 4 losses with those babies on defense?
@@seansimmons6932 lose to chiefs browns eagles Pittsburgh
@@JaylenHunter-k4i and the easy schedule lets the offense clinch the rest by themselves? Idk about that but we won’t have to wait long to find oui
In what world do they go 3 games worse this year if Burrow is healthy?
this guy obviously does not know ball. the whole bengals segment was just a giant head scratcher
I imagine the AFC North is the closest to whats Romans at the Colloseum felt like.
Last season the Browns injury list was as long as a CVS receipt. Hopefully they do better this year. Would love the competition, great for the league.
Love the first sentence analogy, it's a laugher.
The Brandon Aiyuk part is so true
I'm gonna be real honest with you, Grossi...I don't envy the man who puts his AFCN predictions on the internet for everyone to see. This division (I'm a Bengals fan) is unsane and unpredictable. This is Joe Burrow's first ever full training camp and preseason, though. And he played in the preseason. I think the Bengals are running it this year.
Burrow can't beat Lamar though...
@lakeozarkrei3767 Lamar has the same record against Burrow as Burrow does against Mahomes and you don't see anybody saying Mahomes can't beat Burrow
@cmonkey3698 No... they don't have the same record against each other.
And the real difference is Mahomes has multiple League MVPs, Superbowl MVPs and Lombardi trophies... Burrow has zero.
Buddy Joe burrow will be hurt mid way through the year and the Bengals will suck.
@@lakeozarkrei3767 He did though, in 2021 he beat Lamar 41-17 (the year they went to the super bowl, something Lamar can't do).
I got a genuine smile seeing the rolling car LOL.
For us winning 3 games will be a success
Who’s “us” lol? You aren’t a browns fan talking like that

@@christiancorley4309 well every time I hype up my team they always let me down
@@chazztreat8317 then for the love of god bandwagon the Chiefs or the Bengals and stop shitting on the Browns posing as a Browns fan
🤦♂️😅🤣
@@HakunaMattataPlays Bengals gonna have 3 to 4 divisional losses... so you're saying they're not losing a game out of division?🤦♂️😅
@@lakeozarkrei3767 Well when they went 12-4 2 seasons ago, they lost 3 to the division 1 each team and 1 with the Cowboys in Week 2, so yes, they are very good against teams that aren't the best division in Football
@HakunaMattataPlays They're not as good as they were two season ago...
They do have playing a last place schedule going for them though.
You nailed the AFC North on the intro. The hardest hits belong to this division.

The Steelers are always an interesting team to predict. They always like to play the tough opponents well and usually they play the easy ones terrible and win by the skin of their teeth. Last year for the week by week predictions you got every Steeler game wrong until like week 15. They are just so unpredictable and you can’t every get your hopes up which is what I did last year😣
A bold take to predict the Steelers to go 16-1 with their only loss being to the bengals!
U joking right 😂
That's part of why Im glad to be a Bengals fan. Our division isnt consistently at the top, but its always guaranteed entertaining football
Steelers 8-9 Browns 10-7 Ravens 11-6 Bengals 12-5
The chiefs are much more than their offense, stop the bengals meat riding
The best explanation for my division was the lore -> The afc north as an estranged messed up family 😅
This off season has broken Tom 1:09
Outside of the division, the Bengals play the Patriots, at Chiefs, Commanders, at Panthers, at Giants, Eagles, Raiders, at Chargers, at Cowboys, at Titans, and Broncos. Aside from the Chiefs and maybe Cowboys, tell me against whom they won't be favored? It's an 11-6/12-5 team with that schedule, presuming Burrow stays healthy. Unless Burrow gets hurt early, I don't see how 6-11 is conceivably on the table.
This division will be at war 😂
Gotta love that every Brandon in Toms life gives him grief and suffering.
If Slim Shady (aka Joe Burrow) stays healthy, I could really see the Bengals winning this division. Because of how absolutely brutal the AFC North is, I really don't see the Ravens (or any of the other three teams) getting the #1 seed again.
No defense tho
Diehard 49ers Faithful fan here. The AFC NORTH has always been my favorite division to 👀. Tom thanks for expressing 49ers Faithful fan discuss with the Aiyuk contract saga. Brandon 11 is easily one of my favorite players in the NFL. I want to keep him & I'm pissed we didn't handle this a year earlier. John Lynch should've been preparing way earlier than he did.
