  • Sherry. What is it? To most Sherry is that sticky horror hiding in the back of your aunt's cupboard covered in dust and termites, and one taste of the stuff is enough to put most off for life.
Sherry has a life all of it's own and it's been sadly marginalized by gloopy sticky nightmare juice over the years. For this video, we're looking solely at Fino, one of the lightest and driest styles of sherry you'll find. We'll talk about the contributions of yeast (flor) and why this is as close as you'll get to tasting wine made in the vacuum of space!

Just opened a bottle of Manzanilla Pastrana, lovely stuff. Apparently you should really finish the bottle within a week, oh dear! Bottoms up.

I like Tio Pepe, fino but it is about the only Sherry I can find other than the cream overly sweet kinds my grandmother liked.
