Also, to add more to this, maybe try to make his weapon on stuff as well? When I was teaching adults art I explained we were going to do art, not learning to draw, not learning to paint, but trying everything - because an artist is an artist in ANY medium. You are living proof.
i love how even if you think "No, i can't do art, I can't draw/paint/mold/stitch/etc", it's just cause their scope is too narrow. good for you teaching various forms of art, so they can find their fit :)

I've been in the process of 3d printing and building a 4 foot tall colossal titan after sculpting it in blender and I gotta say...this video is rather inspiring lol.

If you do a giant sculp like this in the future look into using rebar for the armature. Don't need to weld just use tie wire which is found at the same place that sells the rebar. If you use no 3 or 10mm rebar you can bend using a vice and a piece of pipe. Can make a very detailed armature using this technique.
