Watching videos on youtube about philosophy will not make you a philosopher of a teacher of philosophy. However you can learn some things that you could apply in you life which is a good thing if it improves your life.

Before you go to college you need to know what you are passionate about. Believe me, nothing is worse than paying money for something you don't care about and will not use. I went to a community College for two years planning on moving to ksu to finish the last 2. Luckily I dropped out. Now I have a grading business that has done extremely well in its first year. FIND WHAT MAKES YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING AND YOU WILL BE A PRODUCTIVE PERSON, SACRIFICE FOR WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO AND YOU WILL HAVE SUCCESS BEYOND WHAT YOU THOUGHT POSSIBLE.

If you are 18,save your time and do not go to college,go to audio university(robert kiosaki,zig ziglar,valuetainmnet bob proctor)read the best book ever by patrick,the perfect storm...and learn a skill , get into sales.master it,inside and out.you can literally do anything if you can sell.everything you need to learn can be found in books.read read read, and be disciplined.sacrifice early and be rewarded later.
You also don’t have to go to college unless the field you’re passion and into requires it.
College is becoming obsolete.
Don’t rush into school at all.
Older people will try to pressure you but this is not their generation but yours.
I’m 25 and was able to succeed without a college degree while my peers are drowning in debt, stuck at crappy jobs they hate and even worse, an indoctrinated mindset.
Take your time, if it’s not Medicine/STEM/Law then find your own way.

1) In order to be someone that is not in the 95%, you've got to live and do what the 5% would do - not watching Netflix, not drinking, reading books etc.
I cant drink alchohol due to a condition, but this has reminded me that I should own it, rather than be a "victim" of it.
2) We must remember the compounding effect of our actions. Small actions now, add up to big ripples in 10 yrs.

Yes well erm... wake up in the morning, do some yoga every day, go on a diet, do 2 hours of weight lifting every week and a separate 2 hours of cardio every week as well.
Carry on doing that and I guarantee that you will eventually cut off all the unwanted fat.

I love his videos though, don't get me wrong I just found the twirling around sort of basically felt like showing off. It's just my opinion, doesn't make it right or wrong it's just something that I have observed, but again I could be completely wrong. Thank you so much. Up to about 8 years ago I was a mover and shaker and the the recession of ‘12, family issues and an accident knocked me down and I didn’t get back up. I just started treading water. I have been listening to your videos and they have really encouraged me. This one however is the best. I am 58 it’s past time but not too late for me to get up get rid of some fat and focus on where I want to be in ten year and how I can improve myself in ways to get there. I totally agree with you about cutting out radio and prime-time TV (even Netflix) series. Since a few years ago after first listening to you on VT, you were a big inspiration for me to start my mind with healthy foods (books, podcasts, interviews, talks) rather than junk foods or the "fat" like you mentioned. You definitely made books cool, instead of how most of my friends, professors, and media (essentially, all of those with no real 'skin in the game' like Taleb calls it) were presenting them at the time - useless book smarts that lead to "analysis paralysis." Happy for all of your well deserved success, Pat!
p.s. I've also went onto writing a couple of books of my own, never thought I'd see the day, actually! :)
