Unfortunately my friend lost his manifest before the first checkpoint. This did not stop him from trying to finish with the top pack. along the way he followed Dominican Chris, James mccay and Johnny wide bars, capturing the raw footage from the race. I believe he might have missed a few checkpoints but non the less a true Traffic Warrior.

Legend has it, even though he knows he will be disqualified, he is still getting his arm signed at checkpoints to this day.

@Jawad Mustafa it’s a piece of paper with all the checkpoints printed on it. You get it signed at each check point.

a lot of alleycat races either require a manifest to be verified or a package/letter to be delivered or received, often both.

Imagine 3 bottles in a row, then imagine 3 bottles on the other side too. Then imagine those 6 bottles are beers, this is my reality.

are spoke cards still a thing? back in the early 2000s a friend of mine won a couple of alley cats in berlin and won a few Backjag Berlin messenger bags. Gave one to me. Still have it today, wonderful thing. Took it down to a platinum mine in south africa and up a mountain in kazhakstan. getting a little thin around the edges.... :)
Do drivers in NYC just not care if your grab their car?
Was wondering that either, in my country if you grab a car you get thrown in the back of it :D except costruction workers with their trucks, they sometimes even invite you to tow yourself on their trucks

the city where the bikes are the best kind of transport is completely taken by the cars eh, it might be actually even more efficient then amsterdam to travel by bikes in NYC due super high density
It absolutely IS the best way to get around NYC. It's not just that; it's incredibly fun! You do have to be careful, and you have to be confident, but it can be done safely. NYC drivers are generally more careful and aware of cyclists than you'll find in any other American city.

Looks really cool. The car grab trick works seamlessly every time. I tried it bunch of times but with trucks only. Passenger cars are too ego driven and can fuck you up.

5:30 Just wondering....when you're riding a fixed gear bike, does hanging on to vehicles still help you conserve energy, since you're legs still have to keep turning the cranks, you can't just stop pedalling while holding on?
most of the time yes it helps althought ur leg is moving , as ur leg is going with the flow of ur pedal , it isnt as harsh as pushing down on ur pedals

Traffic Warriors after a few months I realize how much it taught me and how I use a lot of these techniques now when riding, particularly how to enter an intersection and use my peripheral vision to track a line. I get some of the same reactions that you get but it is truly the safest way to navigate a lot of different objects at once.

These are the people that give cyclists a bad name as far as traffic and car drivers goes.
car drivers; not exactly the greatest epitome of virtue are they. the only humans that give a flying fck what the selfish pig ignorant idiots (im being polite here) think are car drivers themselves. but the fact is nobody should be driving any more so in light of that car drivers lack any moral high ground at all. a cyclist could be mowing down several little children a day and car drivers would still be eventually kill millions for each one. but in actual fact the death toll of cyclists is a bit fat zero

True, these guys are disobeying the traffic laws, but car drivers do that shit every day too. Not sure if there is any number of people that are killed by a cyclist every year (probably not), but car drivers kill hundreds of thousands. So in the end I guess it be safer to run into a crazy cyclist then a fukn' a-hole car driver.

So I get that this is for a competition, but honestly there’s no wonder why car drivers hate cyclists. It’s unfortunately this general behaviour by a lot of cyclist; running red lights, ignoring stop signs, going down the opposite side of the road into oncoming traffic etc; that gives the rest of the global cycling community such a bad reputation. The aggression towards cyclist by drivers can really be dangerous too.
