I loved Farjad and Umeed's conversation at bridal shower where they talked about how they both need time to grow and they were imperfect when they met each other or fell in love. It was such a mature conversation, loved it 💗

Guys I feel like the writer of Fairytale, Sarah Jee should also be given a lot of credit for showing such beautiful relationships! We see less fathers and daughters dancing together and hero/heroine being so wholesome!!! I laughed at a lot of moments while also got emotional at others such a good blend :)

And sehar and hamza have such a great chemistry...they look so good together. Hamza is such a charmer.

I like having this variety of characters on our TV screens with different performances as well. All of these actresses have worked tremendously hard on every aspect of their characters and it shows. Not sure if I missed any, but these 4 definitely stand out

Kindly do talk about how the creators of HADSA decided to make an entire drama on someone 's tragedy without even taking consent from her. It is appalling to me. The victim says that how she wants to forget it but the drama made her relive those painful memories. Our people seriously lack empathy. STOP CASHING ON PEOPLE'S REAL TRAUMAS.

It's feels soo nice to hear the praises for Fairytale ☺️ So glad u r enjoying it this time around.
However, it is much more than what you've said and I disagree that there is no character arc. There have been such beautiful development in almost all the relationships in Season 2-esp. Umeed & Her dad - it's so heartwarming. There r so much depth, little nuances in each character- the makers have given importance to almost all characters keeping things interesting and adding more meaning. I feel sad that they remain unnoticed by you.
Fairytale is wholesome- it's not just the sweet moments, the romance, the freshness, beautiful family dynamics- it's a beautiful combination of all. We need to be more attentive to the little details to do the show justice :)

polygamy is not legal in many countries. Muslims in those may have multi informal marriages but they are not legally recognized. The point in Made in heaven was to do the same for india only not for muslims worldwide. Each country may pass their own laws for such matters although it is a difficult situation and cant be easily justified as it goes against religious sentiments

I expect you guys to condemn the making of the drama "Hadsa". It infuriates me how the entertainment industry sensationalises such traumatic events and trivialises the mental well being of the survivors. It is incredibly saddening how just for the sake of making a buck or two, drama producers are willing to jeopardize the mental health of survivors. How on earth can you make a drama on such a harrowing event?? That too without any sort of trigger warning? Have they lost their semblance of sanity??? Zoya Akhtar is one of the main writers and directors of made in heaven. Not sure why amna got so offended the man in question had his wife's consent to marry. She was forced to say yes and she tried to commit suicide also on the wedding night. The husband is informed about it by the wedding planners just before the marriage but went along with the 2nd marriage. Do see that episode again. You might not be so offended. It wasnt a religious take...it was a take on the 1st wifes feelings. And which law can be changed so easily..absolutely none.
Also the issues of caste, fairness, violence in marriage, older women younger man are all explored. So not to belittle any beliefs but pls see it and understand it a bit better. Also i think the fight is on womens rights with regard to her kids custody . The only reason she gave consent to this marriage was because if she didn't her children would not be with her.

Islam allows a man to marry 4 wives, considering he has enough to provide all 4 families equally and the previous wives agree to it. In this day and age it is not the most economical thing to do, obviously but it is a part of 'Shariah' which cannot be changed by government or any other law, that is what we believe. Also it is Shariah that a woman can only be married to one man at a time, which I believe is a part of almost every religion.
It was offensive watching in that episode of MIH if I am being honest, but because it was the last scene of that episode and you immediately go to the next episode after that, you sort of forget it in a way.

@@syedaf4658Islam does not require permission of first wife but Pakistani law does. If a man does not take permission, it does not render 2nd marriage invalid but 1st wife can sue the husband and he can get jail time (6 months). The 2nd marriage is still valid and stands.
Islamic states since the time of caliphate are allowed within certain limits to make adjustments in implementation of certain original injunctions. Slavery is permissible in Islam but Islamic states have banned it world over. Age of marriage is another. In Islam, marriage is permissible after puberty. While Islamic states cannot lower age at marriage to below puberty (as that is the floor set by Islam) but they can set it higher. In KSA, age of marriage 18, for example.
India cannot change Islamic precepts or laws but it can set its own laws. Given it is a secular country, the Government of India can decide to make polygamy illegal. Like in the USA or UK, polygamy is illegal even if you are a Muslim.

For Made in Heaven comment, I think India being a secular country, the law is not governed by religion, but by law of the land. The idea of changing the law is to make it humanistic towards all citizens in an equal measure and not to define law by religious grounds. The changing of law is meant for changing the legal law not changing law in Islam. You can't run a country with different laws for different religions. This is what I think the show was addressing, not challenging anything that has cultural context in any particular religion. They also simultaneously tried to show that gay marriages should be legal due to the humanistic aspect instead of how it is unlawful because of the religious context even in Hinduism against it.

Wow! Loved reading the comments about Made in Heaven as many people actually understood the episode vetter than Aamna, with due respect. 1st, about muslims in production... it is directed by Zoya Akhtar and performed by Dia Mirza. And she didn't say that they wanted to ban polygamy in the religion. She said she wanted her country to protect her rights (which is in sync with 1st wife's approval concept) if the 1st wife goes to the court, it shows that she wasnt in agreement and in those cases she should be protected and even in this episode.. she didn't agree but wanted being pressurised saying "men are allowed and you can't do anything"
Besides what i understand from my muslim friends is that muslim religion allows 4 weddings if the men are supporting the women in need and not just because he drooled over an airhostess. Many countries have uniform laws regardless of the religious practices, so it was not an absurd idea. Muslims move to Canada, US, and UK all the time, and none of this country recognizes poligamy as legal.. so again, the episode was not absurd because it didnt talk about changes in the religion, it discussed the law in the country to protect women regardless of their religion.
Im glad Amna accepted that Made in Heaven brought up many issues that may not have settled well with the Hindu religion, too.. so, regardless of religion, they brought up the social issues.

I agree with you! The character that Dia Mirza played in Made in Heaven didn't say she was against polygamy, but it is absurd if the husband, without any reason, leaves the first wife just for his lust. It's not a matter of culture; however, it’s a matter of women’s rights.

Also, the show is quite nuanced to show various rigours of the religions and their ideologies and thus, the rigours of Muslim polygamous marriages quite prevalent and misused in India are being well portrayed on the show, which I must say was quite okay.. they could've executed it better, but saying it's the law is absurd because India is a secular nation unlike Pakistan and moving towards UCC. Many western secular nations have UCC, and people there are completely okay with it. Even if they entirely ban it through the implementation of UCC, it should be fine, and I guess the populace has a right to demand what fits their interests. Saying it's absurd doesn't make it any right or just coz your country has it doesn't mean every other nation should have it as well. Accepting or rejecting polygamy doesn't mean any disrespect to any religion per se. Just like how banning triple talaq doesn't mean disrespect. It's better to research beforehand regrading these issues and then discussing them over a public platform. UCC would alter a lot of other tailored religious traditions and customs as well, be it hindus Muslims Christians or any other religion, bringing in equity is not wrong and that's what the show stated through that episode. Not always do husbands marry again with the permission of the first wife, there plenty coercion and other stuff so it's not pretend all the world's a utopia and move past things that need more reading and reasoning.

I am a very big fan of something haute and the way in which Amna and Hassan review our dramas. Me and my daughter choose dramas based on your reviews. But recently we are very disappointed by Amna’s remarks on drama idiot
Aamna’s view on idiot shows she has no knowledge about autism and neurodivergent conditions. We don’t expect someone sitting on Such a big platform to pass these comments, very disappointing to the extent that these remarks are extremely hurtful for the mother of an autistic child. And they will be also for other people who are autistic or they have autistic people in their close family. They are not socially awkward or not completely withdrawn they have different ways of communication than us . Being different is not awkward at all. And yes if you’re autistic or a family member responsible for an autistic child or adult, life is a fantasy. We are living in this world but completely isolated and alone in the middle of a crowd. I was expecting something haute to appreciate and support this show for addressing such unique challenges of isolated and misunderstood aspect of our society. And also get more information about characters shown. It’s quite disappointing to see something haute supporting projects like terebin but not projects highlighting hidden disabilities
    1) “ Autistic loog socially awkward hotay hain “
    2) autistic log socially withdrawn hotay hain.
3)Sadat eik criminal bacha tha aur ab wo kese theek ho gaya hai?
He is still not a very normal person. He is not good to any of his family member even to his own child. Just because he seems to conform normal social norms he’s respected and trusted.
    4) Rameen seems to be neurodivergent. But these girls tend to hide their symptoms and keep “masking” and then comes a point in life where they can no longer hide and conform to normal social norms. After her encounter with Gulzar’s mindset and words, Rameen felt heard and did the first thing that came to mind as she could not mask any longer.

And India is a secular state as is, so the woman campaigning for law against polygamy is completely reasonable. Secondly, even in Islam, polygamy is only allowed if a man can treat all his wives equally - and the next verse says that Allah knows that it’s not possible to treat them equally. It’s interesting to see how much we’ve internalized misogyny in the name of religion. And disappointing to hear Aamna’s comments.

Janat say agae again agree with morning show hypocrisy but female character Kubra playing well but showing her as a absolute jerk, mean no heart is very demeaning again for career women who achieve something and reach at the height of her career is not portrayed well. Her husband Gohar played well but is a bigger jerk shown as poor husband being neglected when his ego is hurt and always trying to put his wife down by saying he supported her ? When he is rude mean to his wife, having an affair is shown in a sympathetic light. Polygamy is also conditional not just because your wife is busy or more career oriented no one talks about extramarital affair is also a sin but that also shown as wife’s fault.

Sorry Aamna. I don’t agree with you regards the Made in Heaven episode at all. In olden days when there used to be wars, polygamy was justified as there were a lot of widows , young widows, widows with children, women with no financial means. But now a man falls in love with somebody they use religion as an excuse to justify marrying again. I don’t even support men and even women in fact remarrying because their spouses cannot have kids. Why cannot you do a good deed and adopt ? How painful it is for a woman that her husband remarries because he fancies someone else? And the law is the law. It should be applied to everybody . You cannot say because you are a Muslim you are allowed to marry more than once and then you are a Christian , Hindu, Jain etc so you can only marry once. And if a woman does not consent to her husband remarrying then the husband divorces her and remarries. Don’t use religion as an excuse to justify what is wrong .

People of all other religions have changed their laws to fit the "modern" world but the fact is they're only following their own made up path now, not what their religion actually states. We as Muslims don't do that. If you have qualms with polygamy then that's your personal opinion. But we can't declare it to be illegal in our religion just because we're not in the "olden days" anymore

And a country’s law is law. If you cannot marry more than once according to the law of your country then that’s that.

With regards to MIH episode.. my heart goes out to Diya Mirza’s character! Its easy to sit on a couch and say this and that but it’s really painful for the women who has to actually go through this bullshit in the name of religion! I am an Indian Muslim and I condemn polygamy… I really wish my country’s government brings a law which forbids the act of polygamy and grant severe punishment to whoever practices it !

JSA made me think that usually it is the man either rich himself or lesser successful than the wife, as in this drama , who has an extra martial affair, while a woman, either a housewife or successful and independent like Jannat, always yearns for her husband. Is betrayal embedded in a man’s nature, or is it that men are never contented with what they have? For such men having another woman is a solution to all problems, when actually it is an escape from family. Instead of talking things over, they taunt their wives but want their money and comfort too. Similar situation in drama Daurr.

@@saniyakhan3110they have shown it before, in Mere Paas Tum Ho but it did cause Ayeza facing a lot of trolling and even public harassment and name calling even though it was a fictional character. Although every other male character is cheating and it is told for women to just accept it as it’s in a man’s fabric to do this or she was the reason why he cheated. In fact I think most people would blame the wife as the reason for him cheating.

@@saniyakhan3110 Dramas are exaggerated, no doubt, but the same is true in reality. It’s the husband mostly who betrays, especially as the man becomes financially strong , he thinks having a new , younger woman is his right. Religion is exploited in our society.
I was expecting such reaction from MS hosts, i had expressed that in my comments too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Umera Ahmad and the channel get legal notices on it too. 😀 But NS went one step ahead calling the entire drama , bakwas, a bit too early. She, for one, can relate with what Jannat would go through . NK also had problems with her husband because she was the one with the money doing her show in Dubai. It was reported that her husband embezzled her money too before the divorce. It was pretty ugly. The drama is about a sensitive subject regarding relationships where the wife is popular and earns more than the husband. I hope she changes her opinion in her coming reviews, because the drama has now moved beyond the MS.

Aamna, do you think a Muslim in US can practice polygamy even if your wife consents? There's a difference between a secular nation and a theocracy, and the Made in Heaven episode was about changing the law of the land in a secular nation NOT about changing the rules of Islam. So surprising that you didn't catch that!

For Nauroz: I absolutely agree with Amna that Hira is some sort of jealous of Rishtina because in the scene, jab Hira getup like a joker for a video. She taunts Rishtina that not everybody gets a silver platter like her and I think that at one point Hira will be the person who will inform Rishtina's grandfather about Rishtina because of jealousy😅. Anyways, I'm totally engaged in the story right now and, at the same time, shipping Rustam and Rishtina.😊

And to stop viewing the world from the "Pakistani" Lens and understand that countries exist that believe in equal rights of men and women both. And the counter of hassan towards showing "Hindus" in pakistan like that, then sir that's what ptv has been doing for the longest time. Nothing new.
