Edit: 2 years.. a lot happened, stuff changed.. but I always come back here to listen to this whenever I feel sentimental.. god listening to it again just makes me smile. I have times where I do feel hopelessness and trapped from responsibilities now that I'm almost an adult stress always gets to me, and there are times where I broke down. not sure if it's the pressure or if it's the negative thoughts invading my mind. When I was feeling sick last week, for some reason I wanted to revisit Moomins. And I came across this video again, clicked on it now after 2 years, I felt... safe, calm, more importantly... happy. listening to it last week made me remember not just Moomins but, Snufkin in general. Just proves how much this character really means to me after years. Mumin was definitely one of the best cartoons of its time, everyone (in all ages) that saw it just seemed to enjoy it. And Snusmumriken was my fav as well

You can still see how she cared for him in the way she wrote Snufkin. As a result, Snufkin/Moomin's relationship can easily be interpreted as either lovers or best friends. There are also other characters based off Tove's lovers like Too-Ticky, who ended up being Tove's true soulmate.

The melody in the beginning is from the Moomin soundtrack, so it is moomin music. However, I haven't yet found it anywhere but this track. And yes, it is very reminiscent of hymnal music now that you mention it.

It is super easy. I got an harmonica for my birthday two years ago, and this was the first melody i learned to play. Took me less than a month to learn, but i still cant play it perfect. I can get you the instructions online if you wish.
