Very surprised to see such a lovely looking movement coming from china, if something looks good it usually is. Shame it’s not 38mm Great review as always 👍
Thx for the review. Beautiful, I'm a bit worried about the unproven movement on a 650 EUR watch. Otherwise so desirable... The finish is galaxies away from the AE watch (Lobinni) which moreover have spelling mistakes on their plates.
The industry needs watches like this in order to bring the market prices down a peg, closer to sanity. If the standard on lower tier watches keeps rising, then the upper echelon of watchmaking has to change their own strategy to stay competetive and relevant.
Excellent review. The Baltic resembles a Patek Calatrava for a tiny fraction of the price of the Patek. Clearly, it is not a Patek but it is such a looker! I am seriously considering ordering a salmon dial - it is a truly beautiful dress watch.
Hey, thanks for the great video! Did I understand you correctly, that the included leather strap will not fit anything above 7 inches? I have a 7,25 inch wrist and was really looking forward to this :(
I don't have a collection David. I sold all my pieces and only own my Black Bay 58 now. Although I will be adding a San Martin SN006G-B1 soon, so will make a SOTC review then. Regards, #WR4K
At this price, minimum should be a Swiss movement. SW200 would be good. With the cheap Chinese movement. It turn me down greatly and felt that they are into money grabbing. I see more hype than substance.
Sw200 would not have the same thickness. Would not be a micro rotor and would not be as beautiful to look at. On the other hand and despite all the discussion about how appropriate it is. The hessalite crystal is a big let down
Don't buy the hype! I purchased this watch and despite a nice dial, it felt cheap in the hand and made weird noise when slightly knocked . The rotor was not turning freely and wouldn't charge on a watch winder. The bezel should be brushed since it attracts dirt and fingerprints. Overall a major disappointment
I did have a PD-1692, and planned to add my Glycine Combat Sub to my Black Bay 58 to make a 3 piece collection; but I prefer just wearing my Black Bay 58 daily, so sold my PD-1692, and Combat Sub. I am not interested in any other pieces at the moment. Having reviewed over 300 watches in the last 2 years and 7 months, it has killed off my interest in having collection. Regards, #WR4K
China movement is not a problem, the problem is China movement selling at too high price. There is a Chinese micro brand called Lobinni with same movement but only cost 1/3 of Baltic's price.
@@douglaswong3418 Saw this and hesitated. But besides the funky brand name, the finish has nothing to do. For instance the movement engravings are poor and have spelling mistakes. A movement is not all.

Nice that you introduce a watch with French heritage. It will be on my shortlist.
I have got one in Salmon, its very cute and i love her.
Congratulations Sina. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Regards, #WR4K

Just won the auction, WOW. You made my day. Thx so much for bringing such jewels in your sales
Congratulations Claude. Wear it in good health. Regards, #WR4K
I think the sub dial could have been made smaller which will make it more aesthetically pleasing.
I didn't think the blue could be this pretty. Also, I don't know if I could call this a daily wear, as I wouldn't want the hesalite to get scratched.
Scratches can easily be removed from; Hesalite, acrylic, and Plexiglass, crystals using Polywatch. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k I’ve had really bad scratches with my plexi glass watches, some cut very deep.
Sorry to hear that. Sapphire crystal is much harder and more scratch resistant. Regards, #WR4K

7.5” wrist. I’m out. Sadly. Most watches are. Don’t know how you deal with an 8.

It's just too expensive. The Chinese come out on top again. Please update us with the state of your collection.
