- The Minnesota Vikings were a team that struggled all of last season at the Qb position and with injuries to key guys, and losing Kirk Cousins in the offseason, it was clear what the Vikings needed to do in the draft, and really, they were in the perfect position to get who they wanted, and with the 10th pick in the draft, they selected JJ Mccarthy out of michigan, Like pretty much everyone in the media, I think McCarthy is a great fit in Minnesota, he's super young but has some decent experience, and is coming into a solid system and an offense with a lot of firepower around him. So in this video i'm gonna talk about JJ Mccarthy, what the vikings need to do to be successful in the near future with him behind center, and i also wanna talk about recent news with camps and everything that is going on right now.

I think it’s going to be another medicore season. Darnold will have his best season but that isn’t saying much. In 3 years the Vikings will be drafting another QB. 10 years from now McCarthy will be a journeyman QB.

This year is just a buildup year for next year. We will go as far as Darnold takes us. If not far, that is ok too. Next year draft will give us what we need, NT. Weakest spot we have on the team. Thought they would of gotten some kind of name guy, Harrison Phillips isn't that guy (not his real position.) But, Phillips fills it admirably under flores scheme. Let JJ learn and be ready for next year. Probably be 2 years before we hit the real powerhouse stride after JJ gets a year starting to figure it all out. Jordan Love didn't come on until 2/3 of the season starting, takes time to get it down. This year, Love will be better coming out of the gate just as JJ will be on his second season start. Don't put the carriage in front of the horse.
Plus we will have over 70mill in cap space

The Vikings window doesn't truly open until '25. Let McCarthy sit most of the year. Then one more draft and enough cap space to fill the remaining holes at D tackle, offensive line, corner and overall depth.
