Living in an age where $1000 phone is considered "more affordable".
Prices will drop as new models from other manufacturers release, at likely a lower price point with similar specs to compete with this e.g. p30 to the s10. If the p40 releases $100-200 cheaper then samsung retail prices will drop by about 50-100 most likely. Still expensive no doubt, but it depends on the market in the next 4 months, could be even cheaper than my prediction and could be even higher.

Considering all you can do with these high-end phones these days, if you're not using it as a tool, you'd be wasting your money if you weren't using it in a way that's profitable to you. The whole camera thing is getting a bit crazy though. Why not just buy a camera at this point? Either way, prices will drop with the introduction of new models. If these phones aren't being used for personal work or business, I'm not sure why you'd need* these kinds of phones other than to 'have the newest and best'.

Just a small correction: the main camera on the S20 & S20+ is 12MP and the telephoto is 64 MP

Norbi Nagy yeah I’m not sure because the actual telephoto lens isn’t 3x, that’s “optical hybrid” as they say, which means the lens itself is probably still 2x but because the resolution is higher than usual they can make an extra 0.5x digital crop out of the 2x ( 2 + 0.5*2 = 3x )

I've been using a galaxy S7 since 2016 when I bought it new. Still works great till this day & I have no intention of switching anytime soon.
Although when I do I'm going to just pick up something used, like the S9 for fairly cheap on classified ads. Also I'm still amazed by how good the camera is on the S7.
@@user-zd9fc4vs4q I'm using the S9 right now, got it for $260. it has a great camera with nigh mode and it just got android 10 last week with one ui2, same one found in the S20. My younger brother has the S10 plus and I compared the speed and camera quality by myself and not based on a youtube review and it's NOT worth upgrading to the s10. even the night mode is like 5% brighter but not at all sharper. If you have the S7 or even the S8 then the S9 will be a HUGE upgrade (night mode and one ui2 are amazing). but from the S9 to the S10 you don't get much more. I'll go to the store to test the 120 display of the S20... maybe buy one this summer for around $600 if it's mind blowing. but I doubt it is.

@@Christian-oi7sd I use 144hz monitors with my gaming PC and I can tell a difference with any screen I use. If you ever use or see an iPad pro with the 120hz screen, you don't have to compare it to your phone, you immediately see and feel the difference. It's a notable upgrade that should be covered, instead of the cameras that people will use here and there when the screen is the thing you use the most.

absolutely agree, coping some aspects of the iPhone are beneficial but those are awful aspects. if this trend continues in 10 years the flagship phone will start well over 2K USD (some are if you include foldable phones) and you won't have a single port.
Its not like they're making only 1000 dollar phones...theyve got like 20 phones to offer...They are trying to target every single price point...

That's my old nexus tablet's screen size. That is INSANE.
I thought the exact same thing when he said 6.9 inches. Like I've pocketed my nexus before but damn.
I bought the Tablet when I got my S10+. Now I just carry it if I'm going to be out where I'll have to wait.
The difference being that this is almost 7 inches of pure screen where that nexus tablet had huge bezels that added much more footprint.

I'm still using the S7 edge for the past 3.5 years and I was looking forward to get S20 but sadly all s20 models have removed headphone jack and they all comes with 5G which I don't want to have.

Now I only need to re-think about not having headphone jack. I'm using wired headphones for every call or every phone use as I'm not the fan of EMR :)

Nice video! I'm definitely buying the S20...have it reserved but coming from the S9+ I'd love to see a side by side of those two phones to compare size. My plus has a 6.2 inch screen and so does the S20 but I'm guessing the 20 will actually feel smaller compared to the S9+. Very curious how much of a difference it will be.

As practical design goes a hole punch is far better positioned on the top left of a screen, as when Lewis tips the phone on its side he automatically tips the device from its top-to-left position as most people do.

Why are you getting the plus? Do you really want to have a 6.7 inch phone? That's way too big and impractical for a phone. The regular s20 is a better sized and it's still huge its 6.2 that's over half a foot

Does the s20 line with its no 3.5 mm Jack have a FM radio? The s10 line does, and headphones become the antenna.

Don't do it! Not worth it. I miss my S9+. I upgraded to the Note 10+ and I regret it.
Battery and the fingerprint scanner are all I prefer. 120hz is great if you could use it at max res.
