IT is a cool plug for sure, but if you are going to demonstrate something, demonstrate it on something difficult. The sample manipulated was an easy one. So, of course I got to get the demo to find out if it is a tool that can do something more and better than the tools that come with my standard DAW.

is there a timestretchfunction to sync to bpm of the host? we already have stretchers etc. but they lack the timestretch function...

i would love to see an example on time stretching narration as this is what i would need it for
and how it would compare to Serato Pitch and Time, or Waves Sound Shifter
i don't have Mac to try out demo

Interesting.. I hope that when the Windows PC version is available it can do batch time & stretch editing? Will Windows user still get the introductory price as well?
If not, I may have to continue using Song Surgeon 4...Lol.

I agree with Adam, most videos by this company are not guided tours or even show what the product can do. Do they even supply a tutorial? Hopefully, they can properly translate into English (fonction???)

How's this a guided tour? Surely someone at Ircam, with all the resources they have, could put out a proper video with a an actual demonstration of it's features. Plus no Pc support is a bit lame. There are some of us working in audio who haven't drunk the Apple Koolaid. I've used Macs in the past but haven't really seen what the the advantage is. Logic was cool back in the day,but it's a bit old and crusty these days. I'll probably pick up a Mac someday for Metasynth and Numerology, maybe this if it's any good, but buying a whole computer to run a few programs when everybody else has a pc version available is kind of lame in this day and age.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about this not being a "guided tour." But as far as Macs and music go I think you're living under a rock. I live in NYC and there are Mac's in every commercial studio (running Pro Tools). I never see PC's in the commercial music realm, ever.

Not living under a rock mate, use both Pcs and Macs, having bought two since posting two years ago and make a living from music, so... Macs are cool and everything but overpriced for what they do. Shit, I even use an Atari occasionaly, because there are midi programs on that platform that allow you to do stuff that no contemporary developers have thought to do. Just bought a four track portastudio to use as a BOC effect.TBH if I didn't use Macs for a few bits of software, that are Mac only, I probably wouldn't bother. Trust me, if you spend money on decent custom built PC it wil run as solidly as a Mac for about two thirds of the price, the rest is just hype and advertising. Though I will admit to loving my recent Ipad purchase, some really interesting ideas there. In London, there are plenty of pro musicians using PC and loving it.Are you sure about pro music being done on Macs only? A lot of Rap, D and B and EDM guys have made some serious bank off of tunes written with FL studio, which was PC only until recently. Perhaps they know all that stuff is irelevant right? Protools? It's only the standard because of longevity, and really I don't much care, because when I have the budget to have tunes mixed by other people I'm more concerned about the outboard they use to process it rather than what crunches the 0 and 1s beforehand. However, whatever your personal choice is, I find it's best to be good at what you do, rather than posting sneering acusations about people you don't know. Other than that, thanks for your reply. Have fun on your Mac!

Logic Pro X is anything but “a bit old and crusty.” Apple has been adding new capabilities to Logic at a feverish pace.
