I tried replacing my gen 4 Fuel EX with a gen 6 and it's just too porky for rolling XC or all day rides. This looks the true successor to the older EX. I just wish you could buy it as 130/140.
The rear shock can be extended by taking out a spacer. The front fork can be extended by changing the air shaft. Any bike shop should be able to do both of those things for you.
trek has gone insane with the pricing on these bikes. $6250 is the lowest carbon bike, and it has cheap alloy wheels (and it's 30 lbs!). I got my 2020 top fuel 9.7 for $3900.
I couldn’t concentrate. All I could see was that huge red reflector.😜

@lordgibbness yeah, I'd just like to to be able to buy it that way from the get go.
There is already a Top Fuel 5 for the Gen 4 lineup.
nicee review
According to Trek the gen 4 is actually heavier, 14.58kg for the top fuel 8 gen 4, and 14.02kg for the top fuel 8 gen 3
What size frame was that?
M/L
Upgrade the crank!
It didn't lose that much weight and for an XC bike it's heavy.
That's no longer xc bike
