The music that goes with Jake and his car is HUMANWINE and of course the live footage of the Revolutionary song Bella Ciao (which would/could start a riot in Italy) is also HUMANWINE . It is part two once the story starts to cover the maker feel of steampunk. Abney Park is shown at the beginning of the clip when they are talking more about the fashion of steampunk.
Von Slatt is the man! You know, I've seen quite a bit of old brass plateware at thrift stores. A hidden quarry? We need more steampunk instruction videos!
Beautiful! Amazing! Simply fantastic! I find it interesting to note that people like this good man reflect the ingenuity and industriousness of the people who's time they admire.
Likewise! Just yesterday I decided on a whim that I'd make a steampunk costume for Halloween. This is the first costume I've ever made myself, & I made this wonderful little golden-snitch looking bobble without evening meaning to just from using some junk & gold paint I found in my house. Now I'm making some goggles by sewing some fabric from my old middle-school uniform onto my old swimming ones & painting the rims gold. They might not be the trademark circular ones but I think it works. :)
You are a gifted craftsman. I love your work. I’m more into vintage costumes but your work, vision, skill Is awe inspiring- your car is to die for ! Greetings from Scotland 🏴
You are fantastic!! I am very far from you, in Cyprus (next to Greece) I make brass chandeliers with crystals, but YOU are a master, wish I was in USA to visit your workshop. Well done. You are AMAZING!!
@corjoth It's a healthy mix of both my friend. whether it's adding cathode tubes and early circuitry to a pair of flight goggles or antiquating your Ipod
Slight correction: Some of the background music from the video is from Abney Park. The name of the band that plays at the end of the video isn't mentioned.
LOL! I love the keyboard, especially the function keys with Roman Numerals on them, and the velvet covering! The brass trim on the sides is nice too, but they didn't show the best part. Underneath is one of those old 'clackety' IBM keyboards, the kind you can hear in the next room. That thing's got to have a great 'mechanical' sound! Hmmm, I've got one of those I'm not using....
im am just so very sorry that i got on board way too late, maybe with newbies like me still joining the Steampunk lifestyle, it may keep Steampunk alive - im building a steampunk chopper electric motorcycle that i hope to have on the road this summer of 2014. i really love the artwork you demonstrated here, and i only hope you are continuing with your artworks - awesome work...
I would try this out with the huge amount of cigar tins I have that were given to me. I just love those little tins, just don't know what to do with all of them.
@iampicasso85 from my current, and very lacking, understanding steam punk is either using the tech from yesteryear to make a more modern styled item or make a modern item look like an item from antiquity.
Love your video, I don't follow the "fashion" but love the equipment. Made my own coffee grinder from old bits & pieces, maybe an espresso machine is next, don't like the stuff that doesn't actually do something. Keep up the lifestyle and thank you.
It is a bit weird to think that no matter your taste theres people who can enjoy the same thing. Thanks for the video - I enjoy taking the insides out of pocket watches and doing different tech things with the shell.
Oh, My God, I am so totally envious of your work shop, God, I want one, just like it,..! That has always been a goal in my life,..! To have a work shop, like you do,..Q: How long did it, take you? Where do you live? I am curious, do you have a website? WOw,..! You do absolutely breath taking work. I would like to see some more of your work, is it on a website?
I love the steam punk stuff,it's reminiscient of the Victorian era, when art, function & style coalesced into quality. 'Steam driven doughnut anyone? This country's full of them, lol.
Fanimations [old acc.] Do you know much about steampunk things? I more recently got into it and I know there was a lot of air pollution, but if everything is powered by steam, how would that contribute to the pollution?
Oops, sorry. I thought you meant the band at the start of the video. I'm not sure what the local band's name is, but would like to. Their stuff sounded pretty interesting.
You can use versus you you can use uses use cams puts you can put you can you can you you can use you can put one of the big external and takes will like a supercharger and instead of it sucking and Eric could be like to smoke stacks so it looks like an engine still kind of sounded like a really steampunk equal type of thing like a brass blower that's a great idea the steam from the top of the engine and you could blow the steam out from the thing and it could be made out of brass or so it looks really steamy Punk

Amazing.
I disagree with what he said at 8:52, because I'm an 18 year old steam enthusiast, and I'm as American as apple pie and Chevrolet.
