Truly shows the culture of the Spartans, 300 stayed even though all 300 knew death was coming. "Come back with your shield or on it" is a famous Spartan quote that sums it up, win or die. The Spartans saw death in battle to be glorious and desirable and yet they were very good at not dying in battle
Probably what made it so glorious, because they were extremely talented and skilled fighters, so finding an adversary more skilled than them was often an issue, in Sparta’s glory days at least

Love Sabaton. Always will. Music is so stirring. BUT for those who would like to check that battle out, the Spartans could have won if they had done a few things differently. Not just 300 Spartans but there was almost 7000 or so others (including 1000 Hoplites). The pass was so narrow a lot of "war" historians will say they could have lasted for weeks if not months just defending it. Still does not stop the song being so great.
It seems the Spartan homeland fell to this. No. They were alive in the Pellopeneasan war. Persia never tried to take Greece again due to them. Greetings from Britain

Teacher:what is the most painful form of suicide?
Me:fighting against the spartans
GUERRA, GUERRA, GUERRA!!!!

Respect from Egypt
i love this song and its also a epic fight thank you for this song:)
Vika enorma krigare. Så otroligt tragiskt slut. Men minnena av legenderna finn kvar 🥰❤
Me and the bois when we eat two vitamin gummies instead of one
It seems the Spartan homeland fell to this. No. They were alive in the Pellopeneasan war. Persia never tried to take Greece again due to them.

Wonderful!!!
R.I.P Leonidas and other 300 spartans.
"This is where we hold them! This is where we fight! This is where they die!"
The Spartans last stand is up there in my fave last stands bc even tho they didn’t. Win and they were tragically outnumbered they didn’t give up and they fought until their last dying breaths. Respect to the Spartans bro
You are being played by the west and bigger interests...
The most insane thing is they probably would have one if the people guarding the back passage didn't get lazy
Defend Europa
Spartans are my best warriors, because their works and looks are strong, and I see it,that was intense👍👍👍
This is my favorite song on my workout playlist
I feel like they got this badass because they kept pushing each others limits which will make their goals rise higher
Fantastic editing, well done 👏🏻
I live in greece and I really can't believe what sparta did for greece with only 300 soldiers they deserve peace
if it wasn't for the spartan last stand most of athens now aday and other greek sites in cities and other areas probably wouldn't have existed
There wasn't only 300 soldiers🤣 Don't believe everything you see in Hollywood
That was easy with bravour and loyalty you can do everything
how it would feel like to play co op in mount and blade
Well you can Play multyplayers, just yesterday i made a shild wall with 5 streangers for defend a point in a siege, i had Spartans vibes.
@@robfus were you able to hold off the enemy?
@@wjr6744 yes It worked for 3 minutes, just in time for their moral to reach 0 and we won
3:12 is perfect the music and the Spartans fighting is perfect everything is perfect
A POWERFUL song !
One of the first last defence and give a like to whoever did this video it's amazing 😊
lol , even by reading Wikipedia you understand that there were only 300 Spartans and more in Greek alliance army and Persian army wasn't over a million or so, but anyway their last stand was heroic .
It wasn't really a last stand, but more of A stand.
It was around 6k vs 250k so....
Have you ever fought someone hand to hand? Just a 1v1 will test your stamina, even if you say persians are not 1 million everyone agreed that they outnumbered the greek force but still they held their ground for 3 days. Mate boxers don't lasts for days only for 12 rounds, warriors are different
Cap.
700 thespians 400 thebans 900 helmets were left with leonidas
The song says that... "joined by their brothers"
dziekuje
Manliest song with the manliest spartans ever. My testosterone levels are sky high. (The dislikes are from Persian fighters or the guy who betrayed Sparta)
Perfectly timed
Magnifique ! Puissant ! Merci 🙏
On repeat a hundred times for a couple of years.... 🇭🇷... love u... the best song ...
