Dude is almost 6 feet tall and fits in the back seats with a good amount of room left while saying it has "decent space". My man , the average height of an Indian male is like 5'6. Edit - this car is for city driving ! Why are we talking about driving with a heavy foot to extract maximum performance? We have to treat cars like Dzire and amaze as city cars for nuclear families. CVT is for convenience in traffic.
Well. Not everyone can afford to have a car for just city driving and another car that could do highways. Especially after paying a hefty price tag for this car.

As an Amaze user, this car is only meant for the city. As someone once said (rather concisely and aptly), "this car is a boon in the city and a bane on the highways!" Dream car in the city - never troubled me once.
you seem to have a limited knowledge on driving ( or correct info not given in your post)...i am referring to amaze cvt 2022 here...cvt itself is pretty good to drive on highways (i assume manual would be much better)...there is nothing that makes you feel bad about it...of course is not an enthusiasts car, for which you look for other performance cars as simple as that...i dont know why people keep adding this point without driving it...may be if you are referring to above speed 110 then I agree but guys indian highways are not made for above this speed. amaze feels not great at all post 100-110 speed lets be clear about it...but look at the positive aspects of it they are plenty...is boon in the city but mileage in the city is too poor at 9-11 ...highway i get about 18-20 (80-100 speed+light foot)...many other complaints are common in this price range...so therefore not bad on highways guys

Good to see sedans alive and well through the new Dzire and Amaze. These are much better offerings than the lifted hatchbacks that dominate the sub-4m segment.
Kindly stop mentioning the absence of sunroof as a negative in a compact sedan. Keeping the safety issue apart, why would you want a sunroof in a compact sedan or in any car at all? Wanna feel the open sky, buy a convertible or better get a 2 wheeler. Autocar india is not supposed to just read the brochure and talk about what's in the car and not. tpms seems a big miss (but as an accessory available), uv cut glass could be useful but you have accessory from them at least...adjustable doesnt matter much now, others available as accessories... perhaps adjustable lumbar support matters...
The only miss is ventilated seats but the pricing helps! Adjustable headrests are good, but the ones Honda gives are plenty comfy and big. TPMS, UV cut glass & Arm rest is available as an accessory. Others are just fluff features with no real benefits.
Carmakers should also consider special coating or mechanicals to clean ORVMs just like they do both windshields. Also neckrest, window curtain and More cubby holes especially in the dash! I miss my old swift which had a cup holder below ac vent and large cubby on the dash itself!
I own a 2019 petrol version. My experience is very good in city and highways. No issue with fuel efficiency. The only major issue is pick up while driving uphill.
Cvt is meant for a smooth ride and not to floor it...compared to amts , Honda's cvt is far superior. And a 4 cylinder no nonsense car with class leading safety features is always a thumbs up from me...kudos honda..
I took the test drive of Amaze MT and CVT. Personally I feel MT is better. Anyways it depends on the user's need. My family consists of 4. Mostly my drive will be in the city and 2,3 long trips in a year. My primary needs in a car are the safety features, good built quality, a clean design, a decent leg room, head room and boot space and low maintenance cost. In long drive I look for the passengers'' comfort at an enjoyable speed of 80 to 90 kmph. I don't need a car which will reach 100 kmph in a few seconds, sun roof and other features. If these are your needs, I feel Amaze is a very good choice. I don't underrate dzire but somehow I am bored with it's look, including the latest one.
@kumar_123-c6f I understood from my friends that CVT on long drive gives extreme comfort and can drive for hours without getting tired. However you have to manage the rubber band effect. Won't be able to take quick overtakes. Overall it's good for long drive.

What Sunroof is desirable!? May be it's your view. It's the most useless stuff for Indian climate which also being misused by many in India and the car manufacturers also force them on customers buying top end variants.
I have panaromic sunroof and it is useless. Unwanted weight on car. Compromise on safety if vehicle topple. I’m forced to pay for what I don’t want in top end. It should be optional

New honda Amaze Looks beautiful N gorgeous... Cool.. Bulky and sporty. I used Gen 1 Amaze during 2016 to 2023.(diesel model ), That was 4 star safety rated. Now Its Global NCAP safety rating MUST be minimum 5 star. If a car like suzuki d'zire 2024 can score five star then, Honda five star rating of amaze is highly expected. Honda must first send it for Global NCAP, after that booking must be opened. Still many people are repenting who booked Kia Seltos 3 years ago and got disappointed when it scored 3 star. This shouldn't be happen in case of amaze that holds logo of world wide well reputed car brand Honda. If cost cutting required remove a few features but no compromise with build quality. People have no trust on Bharat NCAP, ANCAP. So made in India Amaze must achieve 5 star in Global NCAP.

Mieage, service cost, engine refinements, overall safety etc etc. there are many factors Suzuki's network is better and service cost is less than others, but as the new dzire is 5 star rated, any changes been made due to that, these are the things to know before buying. in depth knowledge is required before putting your money in something
Honda has more or less retained the old Amaze shell and fitted it with an Elevate front and dash and a City's rear. However, this thing definitely looks more appealing in flesh now. This is an out and out city car and excels in bumber to bumber traffic. Taking that into consideration, I wouldn't want the ADAS suite and would prefer to save money. On the highway, this car has never been good and will continue to struggle at speeds over 70-80 km where it doesn't inspire confidence.
Anyone reading this please note down, Amaze is one of the most amazing cars if you want for city usage, very average for highways as overtaking is a pain in the ass and risky due to weak acceleration/ power and a complete shit show for hills or any kind of semi adventure drives. If you intend to travel frequently, DO NOT BUY THIS. Take a loan, save a little bit more and go for 3xo or something. However, if you intend to buy the car for city use, you will never regret amaze. In a similar price range, I prefer Baleno for highway/hilly terrain when compared to amaze.

The looks are unimpressive . Japanese car makers are churning out the same 90s look in their cars . Tatas mahindras are now offering superb designs . Look at be9 or curvv . Young aspirational sporty looks great interiors . Why buy these Japanese cars which look good for 80 yr old men . They may be great at engineering but look ? Zero 😂
Be 6e will not age well, within 2 years it will look wierd, just like XUV5oo, now it looks too outdated, lesser the lines it will age well beyond 5 years.
@ completely disappointing that the Japanese are taking the Indian clients for granted . If BE 9 or curvv look outdated then Tesla cyber truck wud be outdated too . Infact the front design and interiors of BE 9 is very futuristic and has challenged even the Germans from value for money .
The two Mahindra BEs are some of the most pathetic designs I have ever seen in production globally. I thought Tata Curvv was a low-water mark.
