I looove digital notes but I always feel like I just retype the whole book because it's so much easier lol! I feel like I'm more considerate with handwritten notes, and then I go back and type them up later - which I've found is also a great way to review :)
You're so amazing at teaching things that no one else has thought to cover, because they're so basic, but so needed! I feel the same as you, I read well and I was taught properly how to research & evaluate sources and I'm lucky that way, not everyone was.
"Did you miss me?" sounded like Moriarty from BBC Sherlock 😂 of course we did! 💜 I haven't been feeling good recently as well, so I hope stuff's getting better for you 💜💜💜
Nike’s back!! I’m glad you took time to care for yourself!! I’m so glad you’re talking about this. I’ve found research on witchcraft and the occult is particularly overwhelming. Sometimes it’s hard to sparse through the good information from the misinformation and getting hold of historical primary sources and folklore is not always easy, so I’ve found myself going into “research funks” often. I’m also a perfectionist when it comes to my BOS so I think I need a whole other notebook or something online for “rough notes” because wanting to keep things perfect keeps me from writing things down!
Yes, I think when I heard of scribd it was through you. Possibly another channel idk lol. But for me scribd was a personal game changer. Not only was I able to have access to a bunch of reading material. Im able to breeze through a bunch of books while retaining what I read
Good for you for taking a break. Self care is so important. I’m now learning about astrology. I’m reading Simplified Astrology by Mark David Meyer. I’m a hard copy kind of gal. I have a notebook just for it. I like to take hand written notes as I find I retain the info better.
What a great video! I too, am fortunate in being schooled in the arts and benefits of scholastic research, and every point you make is spot on. It’s been of immense help to me in my practice, when I react to a witchy book with: “But WHY!!???” 😂 let me add that you are very wise for one so young and I enjoy your videos immensely ))0((
as an occultist who is constantly falling into a “research funk” i appreciate this. definitely makes me motivated to get back into it
"bibliographies are you're best friend." Loved that

@@jillvanskike1198 Well, yeah... a bit 🙂 thanks for your concern 👍
Microsoft's one note has been a game changer for my working document.
When I hear “digital witchcraft” all I can think of is Ms.Calendar and her being a technopagan 🤧
RIP o7

I agree with it's not always the easiest to find stuff, especially with indigenous practices, but that's why you keep on looking
I consider researching, reading, etc. a form of daily practice. I love it
Loved this so much! Thank you so much for this video, it is definitely one I will be going back to!
Thank you for this! I learned a lot of this in school but it's such a good reminder to apply the same methodology to magic work as well as mundane
Thanks, great information ❤❤
