- Brewhardware's Steam Slayer works really well to control/eliminate steam from your boil kettle. This device excused me from having to install a fan and vent in my garage. Sorry for the length of this video; I wanted to show the whole process on my first test run. It was a success and I can't wait to brew for real with it tomorrow.
This worked so well for me. Highly recommend if you brew indoors.
Glad to hear it! (And glad I didn't steer you wrong!)
Nice video Bob, I have been playing with this type of system and your video was a good insight to the issues with a system such as this, well done.

Nice video. I've been thinking about the SS Brewtech system. But, I've also been looking at Spike with the steam lid.
It's normal it never gets to 212ºF or 100ºC. You're boiling under vacuum which means the boiling point gets reduced depending on the reduced pressure. I guess that's something you have to calculate for the hop utilization. Thanks for the review!
Have you had any DMS issues at all with your beers once you started using this? Thanks!
None.
@@bobmcmichael Thanks! Received mine and will install today and test. Appreciate how thorough your video is.
@@jimadams7910 Good deal. Best of luck with it.
Put in a hot tub to use the steam generated water?
Ron, you think of everything!
Are you still happy with it
Good looking system Bob. Enjoying it?
It's awesome. Dial in a temp, no worries about propane burners exploding in your face...
good video
