I'm glad you made this video Mike. I enjoy the U.S. hunting channels and really admire them for stick it up onto TH-cam. TH-cam is a learning platform, I wouldn't have learned what I know without people like you mate. Keep making your awesome videos pal cause I'm obviously not the only one who thinks this.
Your Bushcraft Camp experience, from catching to cooking muntjac in the woods, showcases a remarkable blend of skill, patience, and respect for nature. The way you immerse yourself in every aspect of this adventure speaks volumes about your dedication and expertise. It’s truly inspiring to see someone embrace such a hands-on approach and turn it into a captivating journey. Your efforts are a testament to the art of bushcraft and outdoor living. And I am Floating Village Life.
Love your videos, especially in your area. My Dad was born in Poole .I just love the Dorset countryside. 8 years I've been following your channel and your dad's. Since the summer of 2016.
I really like this video. It’s a great video. I’m glad to see your father and you experience the jungle survival camp together. From catching muntjac to cooking muntjac, you show cooking skills and your father chats while eating delicious food. It is a perfect fusion of the deep love between father and son and respect for nature. This video has taught me a lot of knowledge. Thank you brother, continue to look forward to new works.
Brother, I just had home made venison sausage for breakfast and this video is still making my mouth water. I much prefer venison over beef, mostly because I don't have any questions about how it was handled.
Buy yourself a Food temperature thermometer, (they are only small) most come with a guide of core food temperatures you need to get food up to, I use one for everything I cook, it would have given you a better chance against that burger, also helps you to stop over cooking. Get one you'll never regret it.
Well done Mike , I have been shooting Deer over 30 yrs. I still prefer the Muntjack to eat the most keep putting up films . Perhaps another trout catch and cook. Great film.
Great to see you eat the meat that you shot. The shooting was very respectful, hunters are also game wardens. You do not shoot just for the shooting. Good to explain how you feel after shooting the game. Very nice to see you do the other stuff in the woods.
When I was younger and hunted, I found that the heart was the most tender and best part of a deer. After skinning and cutting the meat, I was taught to soak the fresh meat in water with salt added. It took away the bitter taste every time.
Great video, great to see you and your dad out in the woodland. As far as the mash goes get some Idaho cheesy mash took camping this year it tasted really nice.
Great video between the hunting and activities with your dad. Hoping to see more of the same especially as we come into Fall. Glad you are feeling somewhat better.
It's great to see you up and about doing what comes naturally again. I very much hope you're feeling better. Additional.. Thanks for displaying the 'Fire bowl'. Didn't know they existed. I.. Immediately ordered one from Amazon online. It arrived yesterday. "Fantastic!" Once again thanks! And.. Once again, send Dad my upmost and fullest regards. End.
Great video such enjoyable interactions between you and your dad. The size of that deer threw me at first. Growing up in BC, Canada, I have seen deer elk moose and caribou and they tend to be a bit bigger than what you harvested. Okay a lot bigger. I was squinting at the screen going "wow that deer must be a long way away" that might be a challenging shot. Then you take it down and I think "oh damn. they are going to have to haul it out in the dark". Turns out smaller game have several advantages. Thank you for sharing the video.
Thank you so much for sharing!! I really enjoy your videos specially!!when you have your dad helping you!! That’s so awesome!! Cherish those days!! Strength and honor my friend!! May you and your dad be well!! Nicely done!! From Washington state 🇺🇸👍🏿❤️💯😇
There was good variety here. I know naught about muntjac: we have no such small species in America. I opine that they should be farmed as they seem more akin to very large hares. It does seem to take a brace of them to feed a family.
What i like to do with venicon is to cut the backstrip in to finger thick slices and marinate them in a bit of soysauce and then putem on a stick and grill em realy realy hot. They stay jucy and tender even if fully coocked. And even if you exidentally cook em to long just dryem and you got nice dried meat :D
Just a question Mike, was the ecoli issue due to the fact you ate burgers that were left out? If so, would the muntjac be okay since it was freshly cooked and not left out?
Wish I had been using a supressor the last time I went hunting. Shot a .308 while I was in a box blind, without ear protection. That, combined with running saws and forgetting ear-pro, gave me tinnitus. I can't stand being somewhere completely quiet now.
Just a quick question for you Mike, have you been scope-smacked in the eye yet? When I was air rifle shooting years ago with my scouts group the scope caught me right in the eye.

My first time hearing of a Muntjac. What caliber were you using?

‘Ol’ not ‘old’.

hey Mike what the heck's the monk Jack?
A diminutive type of deer. Aka barking deer
But he answered your question. Not sure how you missed the explanation
Muntjac is a species of Deer
