    Fantastic review as always. I own the version with the marble dial, and it is gorgeous. San Martin is making some outstanding watches at a great value.

    Gotta say that the aventurine dial version is fantastic. In a sober case and bracelet, it's not gaudy or too ostentatious at all. I think I was one of the people that preferred the polished centre link (although I could always do that myself). I'm still not a fan of the San Martin logo, but other than that, this is just superb stuff from them, especially at that price. Wow.

    For me - the 'sand' face is a bit too bland, while, as you said, the adventurine really 'pops'.I noted you mentioned the occasional slack screw, as well - you may recall a while back I said one of the strap to case screws was busily unscrewing itself. I caught it in time!

    I have the white (silver) sand dial version but prefer this newer Aventurine version as I’m a huge fan of the Omega Constellation Megaquartz with the ‘stardust’ dial.

    Sand dial for me....i think...or maybe the Adventurine. Both look great. Good review as always. I'd love to see a video comparing the recent San Martin models to their Swiss equivalents. I'm guessing they're getting pretty close on quality.

    The case back is ideal for people that want their personnel engravings on the back of the watch :) So what size is the bracelet, did they by now change their max size? or still in the Hobbit's rages? Looks great, I hope they will also make one like that without the GMT thing...

    I just ordered the white marble version. I am a fan of white dial watches and this added something’s little more special. For Chinese watches in general I have had hit and miss success. Sugess, seestern, san Martin seem to produce fantastic products but pagani and some others leave something to be desired.

    It’s a stunning watch but the dial material is fragile. I’ve had two of these same ones and both developed hairline fissures connecting the markers. Neither have been dropped

    Hi, thanks for the in-depth review. Would you please also do one for their other Aventurine SN0130G-B and compare the two side by side? I have a thinner wrist and SN0129G-B GMT Aventurine is almost at my max preferred size. However the slightly bigger (as per description in their site) SN0130G-B case looks better to me. Thanks. Keep up your nice work.

      I have the 0129 sand dial and 0130 aventurine.
      The sn0130 is bigger but uses male endlinks that curve slightly below the bottom case so fits well .
      I have a 7inch wrist and the 0130 is fine for me .
      The 0130 loses that lovely champered polished crown guard but it does have raised centre bracelet links that have a polished edge and also the inner bezel aldo has a polished chamfer.
      The 0129 doesn't have these.
      The 0130 bracelet and clasp is wider too.
      Which to me, makes it look better

    I think San Martin’s new three-hand cousins of the GMT look even better (for much less money!), especially the bezel which is less chunky and doesn’t have the numbers that look a bit like an afterthought on the GMT.

    Brilliant watch. I’m not too keen on mineral dials though. So I would go white/silver wave pattern all day. But then again, the best selling dial for Jody’s second Erebus Watch is the aventurine dial so what the hell do I know…🤷🏻‍♂️. Thanks for the great review!

    I have noticed their prices are starting to go up, with no obvious improvements to the products other than their popularity. Might be time for me to start looking elsewhere. Thanks for sharing.

    I hate to be that guy, but it's aventurine and it isn't necessarily a natural material. From what you have shown (from under the microscope) it looks quite similar to a type of glass called goldstone. The reflections are caused by bits of metal suspended in the glass.

    • @mywatchreviews
      @mywatchreviews  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Interesting comment. I can’t agree or disagree not knowing anything about minerals. You will now have me Googling for microscope photos of aventurine

    • @Mystery_Man84

      Aventurine & goldstone, also called blue sandstone are the same thing.

    • @vatazhka
      @vatazhka 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Mystery_Man84There is also a mineral named after this type of glass. I'm curious whether it's a piece of the natural rock or rather the synthetic one (i.e. glass with bits of metal in it). Other reviewers are happily repeating what the manufacturer wrote, so I appreciate this video showing the dial in literal microscopic detail.
