The8 already trainee in pledis before mingming left svt, even the8 say that he and mingming still in touch during ep 2 of that program. And mingming has been told us during magazine interview the reason why he left because he always get punishment for a mistake he didn't make (which mean he got mistreat by pledis) and he can't communicate his difficulties well because his Korean is not that good
I always feel very sorry when it comes to Mingming and Samuel and I'll always support them. Pledis severely mistreated Mingming and Samuel ended up debuting before SVT at a young age anyway... so if it weren't for those circumstances it makes me wonder what could've been with them in the group. People say Doyoon and S.Coups were really close, at that time Jeonghan and Joshua were new in the group, and he was his 95 friend, they used to be the parents of Seventeen, so you can have an idea... But Doyoon had luck and got a small acting role and after some months he left the group. Seungcheol had to fill the role of leader when Doyoon left, so I think he felt betrayed and maybe not ready to be the leader, he wans't expecting it, we all know it was difficult for him to be the leader, but destiny works like that, we now have the most amazing leader, and he has his 95 bros that support him :)

I've followed his career casually through the years and he actually was even part of nugu Kpop group besides being on Mixnine and Idol producer. It's shame he hasn't gotten the breakthrough in Korea or China, he has the talent and passion for it.

Minghaos wasn't added until 8 months after mingming left, but he was technically a replacement; mostly because they didn't want to have to keep lowering the numbers of the group; though the didn't have time to get someone to fill in for Sam's spot in the end. Minghao was added into the finale line up the same day he joined Pledis BECAUSE the group had 2 slots for Chinese members and needed one filled, not because mingming was getting kicked out
