Beyond the Norm - Epic, High Exposure Mountain Biking in the French Alps

An adventure through some of our best high-mountain trails in the French Alps, as experienced on our Summits Week trip. This huge day requires a lot of climbing, pushing and carrying, but the pay off is worth it. Fast, flowy, high-mountain riding, tempered by serious exposure, always in a stunning setting.
As with many of our high-mountain routes, this trail can be busy with walkers during the peak summer season. We strongly recommend avoiding trails like this in July and August. It'll be no fun and it's likely to result in bikes getting banned. We ride trails like this only in late summer and early autumn, when the last of the snow has melted off the peaks and most of the walkers have gone home.
