Aww! I’m happy you found it helpful! I know going through a divorce it extremely hard! Especially with kids. But going to school will be the best investment for you and your kids! You got this! Sometimes starting a new chapter in life is what we need to grow!
single mother of 2 kids, nursing student, AND working night shift? we LOVE a hustling queen 👑👏🏼 Currently a nursing student that just picked up a night shift job and I’m super nervous. But seeing you, I know it’s possible to be successful!
Hey babe!!! Thank you so much for watching! Night shift isn’t too bad. Your body will get usto it! Just make sure to get some sleep in during the day! Good luck to you in nursing school! You got this!!!
I’m not in school for nursing but for sonography. Your video has helped me so much! 🥺. I’m a single mom as well with little to no help, living on my own. I’m so stressed for when I have to start in the fall.
I’m sorry for the delayed response. Just know you are not alone. It is very hard but you are capable of being an amazing mother and achieving your dreams. Good luck to you!
By far thee most helpful and encouraging video as a single mom starting Noc shift, one teen son (he just switched to home school for fall-thank God!!) and will start RN in July 2024!! Thanks babe
You are a champ! I’m a single mom of one. I’m working nights too 4/12s. It’s hard finding childcare. How can I stay consistent? What’s your advice?? Thank you for sharing your journey...I’m in the process of bridging to RN. Any and all information helps! Keep on pushing mama!!! ✊🏾👊🏾🙏🏾
Damn girl!!! You are amazing! Being a single mommy and going to school is very difficult. And working nights on top of that makes it even more difficult! I actually switched to days last year but when I worked nights I would usually just take a little naps here and there whenever I can. I never got a full nights rest of sleep. I used black out curtains and took melatonin when I had the chance to sleep. All the sacrifices will be worth in the end. Keep on pushing. You got this! I’m here if you need anything.
Hey girl! Thank you so much for watching. It means the world to me. I hope that you are doing well and I wish you the best in your nursing journey. Let me know if you need any help with anything. I’m here for you girl. You got this. 💕🙏🏼
Thank you so much for sharing !! keep up the good work !!! I have been looking for a nursing school program online, this is how I found your channel and it has been a blessing, a light at the end of the tunnel! what is the name of the school? could you share a link? how about the prerequisite?
kenya ennis hey! I go to nightingale college. It’s a hybrid program so didactic is online and clinical in person. But right now because of covid clinical is online too. You should check it out!
What online nursing program are you taking? I see you juggle a lot but how do you honestly feel about the program. I’m also planning to do my nursing degree online.
Hey love this video going to be a new mom and going to go back to school soon. Was wondering what type of nursing you are wanting to pursue and what type of work are you doing now that lets you have a flexible schedule. Anything helps Trying to figure how I’m gonna handle work and school life along with new mommy life.
Hey love!! Thank you so much for watching!!! Congrats on your new baby! And on starting school! I worked urgent care throughout my pre reqs and some of the nursing program. I did three 13 hour shifts. That worked until I started clinical. Now I am a cocktail server and I only work the weekends. I have more time to study that way. Everyone’s situation is different but I think something on the weekends and if you can find a job where you can make tips, that would be great too. Good luck to you love!
@@thepinknurse_ it's our pleasure Miss. I hope y'all doin' well with your adorable kiddos. You're an inspiration to all. My wife dreams of meeting you one day. Stay safe, healthy and gorgeous with your kids
Nati Smalls awww thank you love!! I believe I’m wearing koko by Kylie cosmetics. Yes!! That would be so much fun! Definitely need to do a makeup tutorial. Thanks for watching love! 💕
I'm been looking up videos all over TH-cam on women who are working full-time and have kids and doing nursing school! You give me the confidence to keep pushing. I'm not in a program yet but I'm just getting my ducks in a row before I do a big move. And also are you in Las Vegas Nevada?! I live in Las Vegas and everything looks so familiar here in your video I couldn't tell but looks like Vegas ! Not trying to be a creep either lol
Hey girl! Yes I do live in Las Vegas. And no it’s not creepy at all. That is awesome that you were getting everything together to start nursing school. Don’t give up! I know it’s hard being a mother and working full-time. It’s probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But it’s definitely possible. You got this girl! I’m here for you if you need me. ☺️💕
Wow so it is possible to be a nursing student , mom of youngins, and working night shifts! Thanks for being so inspiring! Do you get to select time slots to go to clinical sites?
Hey girl! Yes it is very possible to do it all. It’s hard and exhausting at times. But as long as you have your eyes on the prize you can get through it. Unfortunately you do not get to select the clinical times or the locations you just have to have a really flexible job that’s willing to work around your schedule.Good luck to you and your on journey. Let me know if you need any help. I’m here for you girl. You got this.
Did you have trouble with weight while working nights and schooling during the day. I used to work nights and I blew up. But now with nursing clinicals, I have to go back to nights and worried about the weight I could gain. Any tips?
Yes!! I did have this problem working nights. I gained like 20 pounds! I’m still trying to lose that weight. I would say the best thing to do is meal prep and bring a lot of healthy snacks! I had a hard time when I didn’t bring my own food, I would eat what they had in the break room which was never good. Bring health snacks to munch on and you should be good.
When you are late to things, is your job and school okay with that? Or like, if you are sick how does that look? I am trying to make a game plan before I start school as a single parent with a toddler... lol thank you in advance if I hear back. I love this though. It shows me it is possible at least.
Sorry for the delayed response. Being a single mother in school is very difficult but it is also very possible. My employers always worked with me and my schedules. I almost never called off unless I had to do it for my kids or for school. Having Good time management is key! I wish you the best.
