DIY Bagger Mid Controls

- I've got a lot of questions about my do it yourself (DIY) performance bagger mid control set up. I've been running this set up for about 3 years now and it's been a solid system. It's a basic set up and get the job done. My main reason is for my aggressive riding style and to get my foot position correct. You don't need to go and spend thousands of dollars to get what you need, plus its cool to have something that no one else does. I'm starting to realize that might not be the case after this video drop. Oh well!

Great job. This is a game changer for me. My old back hates forward controls.
Anything and everything is possible when you put your mind to it
Hell yeah brother!! I'm converting my twin cam softail from forwards to mids and you just showed just how simple it can be!
Glad I could help!
Brother your controls look better than all the ones you can buy,and looks like better ground clearance than the store brought,im 6'8" tall and 375 lbs and have had fxrs and dyna's with mid mounts and hiway pegs im copying your set up on my road king thank you
Thank you but they definitely aren't "nicer" then others but they definitely get the job done
YOU ARE A GENIUS. you have saved me with my dyna wide glide, I am slowly un-boomering the bike and wanting to have mids and not having to spend a fortune. Thank you.
Doesn't have to take $1000s to have cool stuff
Sweet vid an dope controls bruh.
I am going to copy this set up thank you!
Gawd damn it. I’ve sat down and thought about this but I always over complicate it. Well done my guy
Sometimes you just have to get to it and figure it out along the way
Great video, and resourceful thinking, i dig it! I run those cognito rearsets on my honda cafe racer, and have been thinking of doing the conventional mid control setup on my Fxdwg, but now I'm like how did this idea not hit me! For half the price and not having to open the primary... no brainer, YOU'RE THE MAN!!
Why buy it when you can build it right?
thanks for posting this.
That's a good way to do it.
Thanks for sharing
Great video man.
appreciate you watching!
Great job amigo
Thank you
great thanks I could make put brass bushings in so no squeaky cool nice job
that might work
Lmao. Such a mad max idea. But it work. And is light with less parts. Is genius
Doesn't always take a lot of money to accomplish what you want.
🤘🤘🤘
Love it so bad ass , what size is the linkage and rod ends? Thanks again man love your content 🎉
Thanks for watching. I dont know exactly, i just cut them to the length i needed, i can measure and let you know
I’m actually trying to find the right size diameter of the linkage length should be easy , but the diameter you have looks bitchen and thanks for the response bro keep up the good work🎉
Was there a reason you didnt run the standard brake side mount that comes up on the inside of the exhaust?
Did you run into kickstand issues? Mounting mine up and the stand hits the mount and hangs way low and drags..
No issues with stand. I think I took off bump stop but that was is
Very cool, I knew some smart guy would figure this out, wish you would have told us the cost, as some of these kits are ridiculous, like over a grand. Thank you for sharing.
I was in about $600 when it was all said and done.
where r u located? i have a pro Steet with forward control that i cant reach
Southern California
How they holding up?
Been almost 4 years and the only thing I've had to fix is a shift arm that wore out from vibration but what harley doesn't that happen to?
What year dyna mids did you use?
They look like 1991 to 2017 left sides
Any year will work
Are they more comfortable???
I feel no difference from any other set of mid controls
