    Hi Jess,
Just recently found your channel. I'm an RN in the US (West Coast) for many years and have worked most of those years in the community. A new contract I have accepted now has me adding (to an already heavy nurse requirement) adding foot care which I haven't done in too many years to admit. Soooo, I've been scouring the web for updated info & tutorials as I know my learning curve will be steep. Here in the US we don't have a lot of foot care nurses (RNs or LVN/LPNs) like are found in Canada and the UK. Anyway, I have appreciated gleaning what I can from your channel even though much of it can't apply across the pond.
One thing I offer as a seasoned RN is something that I have observed in your videos a couple of times that is concerning regarding infection control and cross contamination. Please know I am not being critical, but hopefully can offer some insight to improve your practice. When you remove your apron you need to be mindful of not flinging it out like a tablecloth or bed sheet. If you look closely at your filming you will see all the debris, dust, and collected microbes being put into the air rather than remaining on the apron to be contained and removed safely. Based on your videos you have already removed your goggles, mask, and possibly your gloves. This puts you especially at risk, but also the potential to carry contamination to the next client or home to your family.
After watching a lot of your videos it is clear that you are passionate about what you do. And your clients are well cared for as well as appreciative of you and the service that you provide. Bravo! I hope you receive my comments in the spirit in which they are made. I would want you to continue to be successful and remain healthy as well as your family.
My family used to make fun of me that I was a germaphobe. Well that was before a pandemic. Funny/ironic how the joking has ceased. I've always said I wasn't phobic about germs but I definitely have a healthy respect for microbes of all kinds. We all should have a better understanding and respect now that we've survived (mostly) a global pandemic.
Blessings to you and much success!
