  • A rematch video where I analyze in details the video capabilities of the #vivox100ultra and #oppofindx7ultra with lots of sample shots. I also show you the differences in terms of camera app and features for video shooters
    You can find the ranking here: llelectronics.n...
    What do you think?
    Vivo is clearly advanced here with its camera software but does the recording beat the Oppo's rather limited camera app recordings?

    I was the critical person :)
    Now, I should admit all the switches are smooth. Either update fixed it or environment. But thank you for paying attention and reposting a new video. This is much better analysis and definitely this is your level of review comparing to others. Please keep up the good work! :)
    Another thing got my notice is that the selfie video from oppo has better stability than vivo. Vivo is very shaky, having some focus issues as well. Checking your hair for example, Oppo is better.
    Puchy colors on Vivo still an issue. Idk why but on UW especially. I'd go for Oppo's natural approach.

    I love the outcome of both phones. I personally prefer the Vivo over the Oppo and I own both. I also own Oppos flagship from last year, the Find X6 Pro. The portraits are amazing on both Oppo devices, theres just something special about the Vivo X100 Ultra for me. Too each their own...

    What I like on Oppo movie mode is fact that you can turn off stabilization, like it was possible on old LG phones. Resulting in much sharper videos when you are stationary. Since it does not have to crop into sensor.

    The only thing that works for the Oppo is that for now it has more balanced colors and better white balance than Vivo, otherwise the Vivo is far more advanced in video features and options. The colors and white balance can easily be fixed with further firmware updates, or by editing the footage in post in Davinci Resolve, CapCut or Premiere. Basically what goes wrong for Vivo, color and white balance is easily fixable, can be edited, but the lackluster video features on Oppo can't be fixed. What use has a Movie mode on Oppo limited to 1080p ultra wide with no possiblity to edit framerates, aspect ratio or other parameters. The video portrait mode on Oppo is stuck to 1080p if you want to use color filters et, when on Vivo you have 4K and far more tweaking abilities live and after that. The amount of framerate choices on Vivo is also a huge plus, also the LUT color grading feature. What the reviewer didnt say is that on Vivo in Cinematic Video Mode you can import your own LUTs and apply one for the character and another one for background. The amount of really useful pro features on Vivo puts Oppo to shame but for the average Joe who knows only point and shoot maybe they have the ilusion that Oppo is better. For people who understand videography and know how to use pro features, Vivo is fae better.

    The colors of the X7 Ultra are much more natural (to my eyes) in both auto and movie mode than anything shown by the Vivo. I guess the extra settings and features of the Vivo are a plus, but not at the expense of auto mode! I wouldn't want to record every clip and color grade it in post just to get a natural look.

    • @SulBas

    On the latest 751st firmware, Oppo writes videos simply disgusting. No - there are no problems with the quality of the picture itself, but there are terrible frame drops, especially if you haven’t used your phone for at least an hour and you need to quickly capture some moment, and even if you switch to an x3 or x6 telephoto lens, then you are guaranteed to get lag. Also, when panning constantly, you will get a jerk (dropped frame) every few seconds. I think this is due to the fact that they added new algorithms for stabilization, but its stability was not tested or implemented.
    Nowadays, shooting video on Oppo is Russian roulette. The phone can record it perfectly, or it can give it away as defective. And that makes me sad. The Chinese have not yet learned how to make a quality product in everything. On the first firmware 100u the situation was even worse than on Oppo. Also, their vaunted HDR is a complete deception.
    Oppo also has very low throttling limits when shooting video. You won't be able to shoot more than 8-9 minutes of video in 4k60. The phone overheats and, right during shooting, reduces the frame rate to 30 (while the container remains at 60 fps), turning the video into a complete waste.

    • @b2rdevastator
      @b2rdevastator หลายเดือนก่อน

      As far as I can see, oppo watches your videos, could you make a video on the stability of video shooting, as well as on the stability of the frame rate (this can be seen by shifting the video frame by frame - a lost frame is usually doubled) and criticize the Chinese so that they fix all this . I get the feeling that they simply have no understanding of what high-quality video shooting is. The stability of the frame rate is the most important thing in a video, and only then comes the quality of the picture.

      @@b2rdevastator Yeah thats something I noticed on many many phones no matter which brand. Just Sony stood out to me to have a very good consistent framerate. This is probably why their file size is also bigger. (plus they use higher bitrates by default)
