Oh my god, I have literally been passing up Girls of Paper and Fire at the library for months because I also thought the romance was between the girl and the king. I am SO PUMPED to read this now! I hate it when people consider an F/F or M/M romance to be a spoiler, it makes it so hard to find new queer books. Thank you for this info Kat! Honestly, I see no problem in not liking Crimes of Gridewald. It's a screenplay, it's not the same as a novel. That is why I haven't picked up any of the screenplays. If I want, I can just watch the movie.
You and QOAAD is legit me and QOAAD...read it in a day, loved it but wanted to love it more, talked to one my friends about it but not to people who actually knew what I was talking about
I listened to the Wayward Children Series on Audiobook because I thought I was never actually gonna but them... but then I LOVED the first book and listened to the rest straight after. I really want to buy them so I can reread them and also read In an Absent Dream instead of listen to it but they are all so expensive and I’m just sad😭
❣️I might be the only one in the comments, but: I LOVED THE MOVIE THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD! Actually I don't like reading screenplays too - that's why I didn't even buy this one. But you guys have to realize that the Fantastic Beasts series is completely different from the Harry Potter series. The Harry Potter movies were made after the books in contrast to the Fantastic Beasts movies, which are movies from the start. They have almost nothing to do with books. They are just for the fans of the Wizarding World.❣️

The funny thing about you thinking girls of paper and fire would be similar to selection is that I've had spoilers for selection and it didn't appeal to me but I kept thinking to myself that it would be so much more interesting if either the prince or the MC were gay /lesbian and that's what fueled the conflict... Not a terribly done love triangle.
