Enjoyed this one. Nice work. RIP Torque Wrench. Keep a can of CRC Freeze Off in the trucks. May help. Here in Colorado often times, these rust at the bottom from ice/snow melt and then high winds off the Mtns cause weak ones to snap off.
Nice job. Should've had a man on each end of that pole you were carrying on your shoulder. Back in the day, my grandfather lost an eye when someone at his work was carrying a pole like that and turned. Pole swung around and smashed him in the face.😂
2:32 I like the hinge concept, but is there also an opening ( acces door ) on the pole, to have acces to the wire connections, without having to drop the pole ?
No. At least two wanta be electricians are wearing either metal wrist bracelets & other clown wearing a watch with a metal band. Was told 40 years ago first day as an apprentice we were never allowed to wear rings, bracelets or watches with metal ( conductive ) wrist bands ). Guess Stevie Wonder is in charge of their safety department. Why didn't you not spend 25¢ on tape for wire nuts in a damp & possible wet location? Original ones were taped. Our insurance company made us place at least 4 orange cones around every lift
dimmed parking lot lighting that must be nice, there is a church where I live in the middle of nowhere that has a stadium worth of lighting because they had a catalytic converter stolen it's almost blinding from the road and yet the Dollar General next-door turns all their lights off at night.
Good luck getting that warranty, but also probably should've been using the torque wrench as it might've thrown off the calibration. I don't know how true that is but that's what I've heard. Keep the torque wrench for the torquing and use the regular wrenches for loosening.
We were told ten years ago at a continuing education class that every torque driver & wrench should be sent out every year to check it & recalibrate it if necessary.
But would of cost more too. And I don't think most people would go that way. Not only cost but to some people would look ulgy. I would of went the concrete way too if I did a job and it was in my budget.
Nothing like aesthetics in a commercial parking lot with two poles that fell over. Maseratis in the parking lot, sounds like concrete and rebar would save them a fortune on repairs and insurance. Love the videos!
At: 18:28 I like how the other parking spaces got lighting over them. But the ones for the handycap spots don't. Are there lighting over them for night time? The one you are putting up there doesn't look like it covers that area.
I love companies that think about installers. That's sweet. The light poll has a hinge. Love the content ❤
Yea they are easier to install. Thank you for watching!

Thanks I will have to try that out!

Good thing there were no grandparents on this job. If there was, we would have removed all corners for safety

That is a little nuts right
Good job🎉
Appreciate it!

Yea it adds a lot of cost to original installation too

Yea i figured that wrench should be able to handle it because it goes up to 300 lbs

They recently installed new street lights in my neighborhood. Sometimes the lights are blue and sometimes they're white, why the color change?
It could be the Kalvin is different
what kind of camera you using to record?
Phones and sony
A concrete light pole would hold up better
Probably true

@DiyintheGhetto yes I agree, the customer selected these poles, and i think they are more concerned with the astatic aspect over strength.
@@Simonelectricfl True.

Yes the entire parkinglot is very well lit
@@Simonelectricfl Nice. I didn't see a light pole in that area and though domething is missing.
How come you dont just use an impact driver? 10:46
Never use a torque wrench as a breaker bar
Haha, I know, but I figured this was light work for this wrench it goes up to 300 ft lbs, I believe
Yup it's better to break the cheap tools
It's so weird they don't have to torque rating.
That's kind of fishy. 🤷♂️
Every tiny screw at my work has a rating.
I know i literally spent an hour on the phone trying to confirm the "snuggie" method 😂
Better off getting a pole with a handhole
True
You literally have a cordless impact!! Why were you messing around with torque wrenches and open ended wrenches?!?
Impact is nowhere near as strong as a man with a wrench
