What an excellent video Louise! It is many years since I explored Newquay's many lovely beaches. Great shots of the ocean and the waves. I loved the Huer's Hut - it looked wonderful! I particularly liked the surfer appearing to surf on the sand! I was concerned for you walking up those very narrow steps! Wow! You had super weather for your trip - the skies were magnificient. Thank you Paul! Yes!! I loved the views too!! They were magnificent! I was really impressed by the Huer’s hut also! Yes, that clip of the surfer appearing to surf on the sand I was so happy to get! I was filming ahead of me and at exactly the right angle he just slid and glided into shot! Perfect timing!! It’s my favourite clip I think! Yes, the weather was awesome! I hace seen others going up the steps but they made it look easy, leaping up like gazelles!! I was very cautious! I was actually nervous editing the video and I knew that I was safe 😂
Great video Louise. I am glad to see you enjoying your days in Cornwall. Lots of happy holiday makers and locals. If you had gone for a swim you would have needed a chaperone to sit on the beach and look after all your posessions. 🙂🙂🏖
Thank you Cathy!! It was a very last minute trip, booked the day before I went! Love trips like that! Haha! Yes, you are right! A chaperone could have come in very handy!

What amazing views, I am glad you took come time out to relax & enjoy, the walks will always be there for another day. Those steps on the Huer's hut would not pass any sort of health & safety inspection.

There is no way those steps would pass a health and safety inspection! Amazing how all the Beatles balanced on them in 1967. Had to really keep my wits about me climbing them as I don’t have the best balance!

Like the hat, Louise. I wouldn't have gone up the steps on that old lookout tower. I'll wager your balance is better than mine. I would certainly need a handrail. If you ever walked the south coast path, I hope you would have a few places for ice cream and coffee at regular intervals. We are off to Lee Abbey on Monday for a 5 night stay, all on your recommendation. Take care x

I remember going into the Huer's Hut back in 1962 as an 11 year old with my sister and writing our names on the wall. I never went to Newquay again until a couple of years ago, now 70 and found that it is now gated off, a sign of the times I suppose. Pleasant video bringing back memories of a time long gone.
Wow, the beach is really popular! Loved the bird's eye view from the top - I would have enjoyed watching the people running back and forth on the beach to the water as well. It looks like a fabulous place to visit and enjoy the summer, especially the quieter coastal path. The little lookout hut looks nice and gives a break from the wind, too.

Hi Louise, Lovely video which brought back very many happy memories of childhood holidays with the family. I dont remember walking the path back to Newquay but I did recognise the lookout posts so maybe we did walk it ..... that would be 50 years ago now!!! Well worth a visit to Crantock, there is a lttle ferry at high tide so can be walked from the Newquay side. Ever saturday afternoon we get German films based in Cornwall made from the Rosamunde Picher books. Always fun when I spot somewhere that I recognise. Have a great weekend, I have now subscribed as well. Good luck from Spain!!
