We are sure of around 80k with the rest according to the mediazona website being likely dead from their knowledge of insurance claims being filed. I think it's clear the Ukrainians have lost more men than Russia but 700 000 vs 100 000 just seems way too high even with the disparity in munitions and weapons.

He is completely okay with Russia conquering Ukraine and ushering in the "might makes right" where countries outright conquer their neighbours through military means. Because that's exactly the message that comes across if Russia is allowed to win. It gives China the green light to invade Taiwan because all they have to do is outlast the US - not in terms of the US's military capacity but simply its short attention span. Likewise, allies will see less value in a partnership with the US, re-evaluate their options, and pivot to the likes of China for their own safety and economic security; further sinking the US's position in the world stage.
