That’s a nice setup man, kinda wish I never sold my microbrute. I hate to say this but recently I’ve been having second thoughts about the Blofeld. All I’ve really been using mine for is additional synth lines and simple pads and stuff, whereas it’s capable of some seriously complex sounds that I just don’t think I’ll ever get round to using it for. It does sound really nice but the fact that the encoders on most of the units (mine included) hardly work and there’s only 3 knobs to change parameters meaning a TONNE of menu diving, makes me want to consider something else. I know I’ll probably instantly regret selling it and I’m sorry if this wasn’t the opinion you were hoping for haha
@@matthewy393 haha no it was. I know about the menu deep diving, i checked one tutorial on that subject, seems super capable if you go into it, you can really make evolving sounds and shit but yeah. I am looking for something to add just that, pads and warm synth lines..seems worth the risk for such a reasonable price. Regarding the microbrute, it can have an annoying sound but you can also get some interesting sounds with it, i also have the dark energy and i make them talk to each other sometimes which can be fun. Running the brute over a delay pedal also opened up a new world for me..
@@maticherzog yeah you’re right, you’d have to take at least a couple of years to fully understand what it can do and get the most out of it. For the price it’s definitely a no brainer if you intend on learning it inside out, I just don’t think I have the patience. I loved the microbrute for its sequencer and arp, Am I right in saying it had a chord memory feature too? That sounds like a good combo, is there anywhere I can listen to your stuff?
@@matthewy393 yep, usually it takes a while with these more complicated devices to get a grip on all the functionalities but once you do it is often worth it:).. got an xd last year and still havent even started to deep dive into it because you can get such nice sounds just be tweaking the knobs from default or from certain presets onwards.. yeah for sure, on soundcloud, under soundcloud.com/herzogm; send me yours as well, i use SC a lot
