I am so glad I saw this video before I started mine. I recently picked up all the items to make a sunflower one for our front door. I saw this pop up and watched so I just ordered a wood burning tool from Amazon and I will get it Friday. So I know what I am doing this weekend. I may have to go get some different color mesh to make more flowers. Thank you so much for showing us how to stop it from fraying.
Wish there was a LOVE button, as this is the best Deco Mesh Tutorial I have seen yet! The wood burning method to cut the mesh is simply ingenious!! I have a hard time finding the 10 inch rolls locally so being able to cut up the 21 inch rolls without all the fraying is a life safer!! Thanks so much!
This was an answer to my prayers!!!!! What a difference the woodburning tool made. I can't believe the difference it makes especially when you are using the mesh for something outside. Thanks so much. I've spent hours watching and trying other videos and techniques and yours is by far the best!! You are now my go to girl....
Thank you so much for this video. You make crafting so easy, with your step by steps. Please keep the videos coming. My friends and I love your videos the very best!
Thank you Michelle for the update. I was so inspired by your other tutorial that I went and purchased all the supplies months ago. My 1st wreath is not even completed as I was dismayed by the fraying. With it being spring now I wanted to add a flower to my door, and now I start again. The wood burning tool is awesome and I'm glad to have one on hand.
The wood burning tool would be a Fantastic tool to have. I have done several wreaths with mesh pieces everywhere from cutting with scissors. Thank you for this Great tip!
Wow!!!!!! The heating element really cuts down on the fraying. My first view of your videos and I 've learned something new. Thanks so much. I am going to invest in one today. Love my crafting.
thank you so much for sharing your tips. I have looked and looked to find how to keep mesh from fraying and finally you provided the answer. thanks again!
Girl that rocks!!! I made a flower wreath 2 weeks ago as a special thank you. I thought I was going to loose my mind with all the fraying. I had actually sworn off making anymore wreaths because of this. I tried to use the adhesive spray but it didn't work for me. This is amazing process. Please pass on the thank you! Thanks for sharing the info :)
Michelle I sold my first wreath every yesterday and in a large part it’s due to you!! Your designs and simple instruction made me have the courage to go forth and do it
Great tutorial! Thank you for explaining and slowly showing each step. I understand the process so much better now. I don't have a burn stick yet. Your flowers are beautiful! Thank you, Sue M.
Thank you so much, Michelle!! This was an excellent excellent tutorial! I love this technique you created and the beautiful flower this makes. I can't stand cutting that ball, though. Ugh. The wood burning tool made a lot of sense. Thanks again! I'm always learning something new from TH-camrs!
Nancy Boline Thanks Nancy! The hacksaw actually makes quick work of the foam ball. That's why I didn't show the cutting of it on the video, lol, didn't know if it would bother people.
Tank you thank you thank you Michelle for zooming in on your work! For us older people who have trouble seeing, this makes a huge difference. It is a beautiful Reese and am am so glad that we got to see your tutorial on how to make it. I truly appreciate you teaching me!!💕
Your camera work/person showing the close-up of the mesh burning was done beautifully. Thank you. Now it is all making sense. Thanks for all if the beautifully products you are bringing to this world and for sharing your knowledge. I enjoy your pleasant voice narrating it to us. I look forward to learning and crafting more.
clearly demonstrated. Very inspiring. Whoever did the photography should be congratulated as it was well done. Very clear and just the right amount of closeups. Thank you.
I love your flowers! I'm planning to create a whimsical spring garden for my wedding reception and plan on adding 4-6 of your flowers throughout the room. I can't wait to get started!
Thanks so much. I have watched so many great videos but I learned so much more from yours. The camera view was perfect and you explained it so well. I am so glad I finally found you.
Very beautiful wreath. Love your videos. You make it look so easy but since I don't have the patience to do crafts I like the fact that I can purchase one from your Etsy store. Would you link it in your description, please. Thank you!
This is the first time i have watched one of your videos. The flower was gorgeous!! You really took great pains to make sure your instructions were clear!! Everything about this video was great!! But the thing I liked BEST about your video is you!! The fact that you take the time to reply to so many of your viewers and answer their questions is awesome! I am definitely coming back to watch more and subscribing. Keep up the great work.
A wood burner is also great for cutting poly silk and lame fabrics. You do need to go quickly and with a light touch. Using a metal ruler helps cut a straight line when using it on fabric. I've used this method for many years, takes practice but well worth the outcome no frayed edges.
Thank you very much for showing me how to do that, because it is absolutely beautiful! I had some 21 inch mesh, I had a wood burner, and you showed me how to put the two together, because I was getting frustrated that everything was getting so frayed! Thank you for helping me fix the problem!!!
I love your flowers. As far as the centers, I'm always concerned about the craft paint running if the wreath is exposed to rain. Have you ever had a problem with that? Also, is that a wood burning tool?? Genius!
This is beautiful Michelle! Thanks for sharing. I've looked and looked and saw Plaid wood burners but not with the crafting hook. Can you tell us where to get it?
Michelle your wreaths are beautiful! Thank you for explaining & showing each step in detail. Toward the end when you add the double petals on the grid how far in do you go & do the stems go in each hole all the way around? As well, when doing the single petals do they go in each hole on the grid? Thanks!
Thank you Shelley! Go in about two inches, then there are 18 double petals around it.. then move in to the center for the single fold petals and I just put them in side by side.. you might skip a hole in the grid here and there.. but for the most part, it's right next to each other.
where did you purchase your wood burner? I have got to have one of these!! In a show next week and have request for three. I love this new idea. I hated making the flower wreath because of the fraying. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks for the info. I found some tempered glass cutting boards but they had a design and I would. It be able to see the lines on my cutting board. I am still on the hunt. I am a teacher and school ends very soon so I know I will find something to use over the summer. Thanks again
Did you spray only the center with the adhesive and the clear spray Or all over the entire wreath? Sorry, if this is a silly question, just not real sure! I did enjoy your tutorial! It is better than most!!!
I too had the same question. Maybe it's the brand of spray glue I'm using? Tacky Glue, it leaves a "tackiness" on whatever you've sprayed, and for days later.
Thank you so much! I was looking around for the ombré poly mesh and I cannot find it around here...I live in Massachusetts...do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for this video. Beautiful work. When you started in the center, how many double periwinkle flowers did you use? And you said you used 30 periwinkle flowers for the final row next to the styrofoam center, correct?
Cecile Bolton Yes, I cover the center if you have pins in it already with a plastic bag and then spray entire wreath. The wood burner works wonders, but you can still get a fray here and there. The purpose of the adhesive is to help keep the flower from fraying and it also allows you to shape the petals back if need be.
Doesn't that make dust etc. stick to the wreath after? I am hesitant to use adhesive because I live on a dirt road and while I'm quite a way from the road I would think that it would make the outside sticky and attract dirt.
Hi Michelle ! I speak french, so I'm going to try to ask my question in english. What kind of hook do you use for your flowers? You do a great job. It is beautifull !!!!
Love your videos. Your creations are beautiful. Question, do you have any problem with smoke when you cut your mesh? I am wondering if it is necessary to wear a mask and or open up a window and or use fans? Thank you so much for your help. Jackie
Thank you 😊You can absolutely wear a mask when cutting the mesh as well as place a small fan blowing it away from you. If I have foil in the mesh I tend to get more smoking with it.

Cathy Milson I know, the only way for me to find the 10" mesh is to order it online! Happy this helped you out!
FANTASTIC!!! I KNEW that there HAD to be a better way to cut mesh than with scissors!!! LOVE your tutorials, hon!!
This was an answer to my prayers!!!!! What a difference the woodburning tool made. I can't believe the difference it makes especially when you are using the mesh for something outside. Thanks so much. I've spent hours watching and trying other videos and techniques and yours is by far the best!! You are now my go to girl....

So beautiful!
Thank you 😊
where do you get your mesh from? Your wreaths and flowers are so beautiful.
Jeanna Norwood thank you. The mesh in this tutorial was purchased from craftoutlet.
Ty!!!
where did you purchase your wood burner? I have got to have one of these!! In a show next week and have request for three. I love this new idea. I hated making the flower wreath because of the fraying. Thank you so much for sharing.
Phyllis Wilson it's a Plaid 2 in 1 stencil wood burning kit at Walmart.
Walmart, my store!! thank you. Going there today.
Such a great idea...I can't wait to buy a wood burner and try this. Is the tempered glass a must? Not sure I can get that very quickly..
I would say yes, you don't want to burn anything when cutting your mesh and it would definitely burn your mat.
yoandjoe the tempered glass is just a glass cutting board basically right
The tempered glass can handle hot and cold. You could try a glass cutting board. I don't know how it will work.
Thanks for the info. I found some tempered glass cutting boards but they had a design and I would. It be able to see the lines on my cutting board. I am still on the hunt. I am a teacher and school ends very soon so I know I will find something to use over the summer. Thanks again
Great tutorial! Wonder if the WRMK fuse tool would work?
Paulette Dunston thank you! Not sure what that is.
I think it would. But would the tip get mucked up with the plastic mesh?
Did you spray only the center with the adhesive and the clear spray Or all over the entire wreath? Sorry, if this is a silly question, just not real sure! I did enjoy your tutorial! It is better than most!!!
Lane Petty make sure you cover the center before spraying the entire flower. And yes I do both the adhesive and the clear coat.
Lane Petty you can spray the center with the clear coat but do it before you put the pins in.
Love this flower! One question. If you spray with the Craft Bond won't dirt and anything else stick to it?
Melissa Edwards no it does not. it dries completely and it's not sticky.
That's geat! I will try this very soon!
I too had the same question. Maybe it's the brand of spray glue I'm using? Tacky Glue, it leaves a "tackiness" on whatever you've sprayed, and for days later.
Heidi Gibson-Hyden no this dries pretty quick, within a couple of minutes.
Great, thanks for the tip!
Thank you so much! I was looking around for the ombré poly mesh and I cannot find it around here...I live in Massachusetts...do you have any suggestions?
Walmart sells it. You can order it right online if you can't find it in the stores. It's usually by the silk flowers and wreath frames.
Cecile Bolton in new England try papermaking & hobby lobby
@@ANobleTouchCrafts i live in the UK what site can I get the mesh from please

beautiful
Thank you for this video. Beautiful work. When you started in the center, how many double periwinkle flowers did you use? And you said you used 30 periwinkle flowers for the final row next to the styrofoam center, correct?
There are about 30-34 single petals that go directly around the center of the flower.
Lovely have you tried with burlap
Yes I have tried it with burlap, I have a picture of it on my Facebook page, A Noble Touch
Stunning
Thank you 😊
Beautiful !!!!!!
Thank you 😊
gorgeous!!
Thank you 😊
Interesting wedding rings!
Thank you
Do you spray the adhesive on the front of the flower? I'm not understanding the purpose of an adhesive on the flower itself.
No it doesn't at all. It dries completely and I don't have a problem with the dust.
Thank you Cecile for asking this question. I was wondering the same thing.
Can you show us how to make a dahlia flower yours is so incredible!! Thank you
Thank you 😊I don’t have a tutorial out for a dahlia. But I believe Julie’s Wreath Boutique does a dahlia.
hi love the flower. can you give the name of the tip you used for the woodburning tool and where can i buy that tip? thanks
It is a stencil tip. I use the Plaid 2 in 1 Wood burner stencil kit.
Michelle, I cannot find the tip you used with the hook on the wood burner. Can you tell me where you purchased it please. Thanks so much.
Felice Boehmcke it's a stencil tip.. go to Walmart.com and look up stencil wood burning kit.
Hi Michelle ! I speak french, so I'm going to try to ask my question in english. What kind of hook do you use for your flowers? You do a great job. It is beautifull !!!!
Question that craft tip you use on wood burning tool is there another name for the tip
kathleen Flanagan I don't know.. it was called a crafting tip in my package.
kathleen Flanagan look up stencil wood burning kit at Walmart.
