Hiya guys, I’ve just decided to upgrade the XL RS seat to a Sparco R333 and it’s a straight fit onto the GT omega runners. Great first impression with the Sparco, and I’ll update you guys after some extended use.

Thanks matey. I can definitely recommend the R333 for comfort and it flexes the least out of the seats I’ve tried. I don’t know what the new GT omega RS12 is like but it’s nice looking.
Hey Danny hope you see this. Thanks for this video. I have the Omega Prime rig as well and was over the seat so I just bought the R333 which I got in today. If anyone is wondering the bolt pattern is just a straight swap still so no need to buy another slider. Very comfortable outside of the new seat smell. Anyways, I saw you have a buttkicker in another video and I think there is a better way to install it. The R333 has a pole underneath it and the buttkicker will mount right to it but using the clip. I tried the way you had it first and then mounted it right to the pole. The difference is amazing, but thanks once again for the video, really liking the channel!

Thanks for the vid! I was planning on getting this seat but didn't know how I would bolt it on to my setup since I had the competition style bucket seat currently. I like your rig setup too!

Great video on the Sparco R333. I always like to find content I can relate to. I have been Sim Racing in a OMP TRS-E and started to feel uncomfortable doing longer races while streaming. I have been looking for something more comfortable as I am a tall man like yourself. I think I have been sold just on your review. Thank you and keep up with the great content!

Ive got the GT Omega Apex wheel stand and ive just ordered the seat frame kit that attatches to it, and also have a Sparco R100 ordered, so it's good to hear it has the same bolt pattern as the GT Omega seats.

hello friend. I'm about to buy a Sparco like this to put in my setup. Could you tell me when you brake hard if the backrest moves backwards.
Hi bud, the back doesn’t flex at all. It’s the most sturdy reclining seat I’ve sat in.
Kudos to you. I know you loved that chair but all I focused on was that noise. I know you said you felt bad recommending the chair but these things happen and your honesty is admirable. Can’t wait for next videos 👍🏻

@@dannymoffatsimracer I know you do things from the heart and you weren’t to know the chair would be clonking within weeks. I know you really enjoyed putting it all up and It’s a shame no solution could be found. Also if you find and fix it will be an honest video that could help someone down the line. I mean twice today I’ve ‘ TH-camd’ how to work things. So don’t feel bad that you recommended it hun , you weren’t to know x
Hi Danny, just found your channel today and we have a lot of similarities ! Ive recently lost my dad and im also 6ft 6 and around a 42 waist. Ive not got a sim rig yet but have settled on a GT Omega prime rig and now ill get the Sparco seat ! So good to ser a UK based streamer a similar size to me so ill know ill fit in it ! Going with Asetek Invicta base and pedals and get the QR for other wherlls that im undecided on yet. Ive also joined Sim Seniors on fb. Keep up the great content mate and hopefully see you on track in the coming months.

How is this new seat after a month of using ?
Good morning buddy, it’s absolutely brilliant. Comfort is great, the back is nice and firm giving good back support and it doesn’t creak or squeak at all.
Yesterday I gave it a good test by sitting in it for a 6 hour stream and it was great,
Thank you for an update. I have typical racing seat on my rig, actually the same as in my racing car 😊 but without any reason my back hurts when I play for even an hour so I’ll probably switch to R333. Regards!

How’s this seat as far as comfort for the back. Have you gotten any soreness or pain?
Hi Grant, it’s been brilliant for comfort. I’m regularly sat in it for a few hours at a time. It was definitely worth the expense.

I have the GT omega seat too and absolutely hate it. So uncomfortable. Hurts my back. Been looking at the Sparco seat. Would u recommended it for sim lab rig?
Hi Shane, so far it’s amazing. It’s really comfy. The back is firm and supports my lower back really well and the bottom is nice and soft. The back also has way less flex than the gt omega seat. It’s definitely worth it I think.

Going to ordering this next week, had a Sparco EVO XL which has been nice, but finding bucket seats uncomfortable when doing a long stint e.g. 2/3 hours +. The R333 looks solid and you are a similar frame to me!
Hi Lee, you’re going to love it. I’d love to use a bucket seat but I can’t climb out of them these days. The R333 doesn’t flex and I’m sometimes in it for 6 hours straight so it’s really comfy.
@@dannymoffatsimracer That's great to hear. Do you mind me asking if you have any issues getting a comfortable position with your pedals (i assume not based on your comment). What i mean is with a bucket seat you can angle the front up to get a comfortable angle for the legs. The R333 is mounted flat underneath so presumably no height increase at the front, but doubt that is much of an issue since you speak so well of it?
@leedavis5568 No issues at all mate, the front supports your legs just enough for comfort without any problems using the pedals.

So very helpful. Thank you. I am leaning towards the GT Omega Prime Lite, but I have heard enough bad things about their seats. You helped me decide to pay the extra bit for the R333. The mounting info was very helpful too.

Hi Danny. This was the seat that I settled on before seeing your video (thanks!), due to also being a big guy (6'7" and 125Kg or so...) I am fitting my rig in to my outside office and it is a narrow room like the one in your video. The TR160 hasn;t turned up yet to properly see, but could you do me a favour please and measure the width of your room for me? I will have my right set up in the exact same orientation and I am worried that I may be a bit too snug going side-on! Cheers :).
Hi Nick, my room is 7ft x 10ft. The monitors are 5.5ft from edge to edge
hello Danny, does the R333 come with brackets. Im thinking of ordering GT Omega PRIME Cockpit with No Seat. And ordering the R333 but not sure if I need to order any seat brackets. I can't see that GT Omega sell a seat bracket separately
You may be able to buy the gt omega bracket if you ring them. That’s the one I use. Also demon tweeks sell the Sparco one that may be good too

Hi Danny, nice vdo! Did you ever consider a bucket seat?? I guess not considering your height and weight. I just put together my new sim-lab rig with their bucket seat, and my back is killing me already, just after 3 days racing for 1 hour at the most... I am thinking about try-ing to swap this bucket seat for the R333. What do you reckon? The Bucket seat does not recline, so it feels like i'm being bend over constantly. I probably can guess your answer, but still would appreciate your thoughts... Thanks in advance.
Hi Manuel, when I was younger I had a few rally cars and always used bucket seats in them but it was hard to get out of them. It was great not moving about when cornering but now I’m older I find them uncomfortable.
The R333 hugs me just enough that I feel secure and can get out of it easier. It has the least flex out of all the reclining seats I’ve tried and I don’t get as hot with the fabric they use.
I would definitely buy it again, especially for these long endurance races, it’s been superb.
How is your bum after hours sitting in this seat?
Ive gone through 3 different seats, and there is always something i cant get on with. Getting a sore arse is my issue atm, haha
I’m regularly in it between 4-6 hours at a time. It’s literally the only seat I’ve tried that’s comfy for hours
@dannymoffatsimracer sounds good, have you made a bum groove in the lower base? Like in my cars I drive for 100000kms and no Groove happens but in my sim rig with even ADR certified seats I get a groove in no time. How much is the seat there? It's $800 aud for us, is that good or are we getting screwed?
@@2ndLastJedithere’s no groove yet and I am in it every day. Over here on Amazon it’s £340, so pretty reasonable really

received mine ( gt omega XL RS) 2 days ago, and make exactly same noise as you described here, so used only 3-4 hours on that 3 days . seems to be a known issue . shoul I ask GT Omega for replacement?
I would mate, or see if they will let you try the new rs12. Looks similar but maybe built stronger. One of my mates also bought the XL and has the same problem.

Hiya mate, I used the gt omega mounts that came with my previous gt omega seat. They bolt straight on. Or you could buy the Sparco runners which should work too

hello, how is this r333 seat been since then? :) from what I have read in the comments you seem completely satisfied and no surprises? do you use a cushion for your back or under your buttocks? thank you ;>
Hi Louis, it’s been excellent. I’ve used it lots and haven’t needed to add any padding to it. It’s extremely comfy and I don’t ever get a numb bum from sitting in it for hours. It’s also got no flex and it doesn’t creak or make any noises at all. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made.

You know I thought of a quick question maybe you'd be able to help so since I have the FG160 rig on the way the next level racing rig you could do 3 seat hybrid positions. Obviously that's what their generic bucket seat are if I bought a regular sparko Sprint GT bucket seed that has the 2 bolts on both sides but I bought the seat that you have. So am I gonna be able to mount this thing with the parts that come in the box with the next level racing GT. Art is there an additional part I'm gonna have to buy if you know this information and you can share that with me that would be fantastic I really appreciate it. I'm hoping I can still mount the seat and since the FGT160 does the 3 different hybrid positions even though it's a reclining seat I'm hoping I can still use it for those 3 different positions. If I can't use it in the formula set up that's not a deal breaker that would be super cool though since I did pay the extra money to get the one that let you put it in 3 different positions. For the most part I'll probably put it in just the hybrid position it has the GT position the formula position of the hybrid position. Anyway sorry for the long message just wondering how I'm gonna attach this seat to this thing if you can give me any pointers that would be fantastic and are any additional parts that I may need. Morning mate, I would think it should bolt straight to the rig with it being aluminium profile. I know Will from boosted media made a build video of the rig and showed the build in great detail, so I’d definitely check that out but I’m sure it’ll be fine. Let me know how you get on, it’s a lovely looking rig.

Did you also consider the Sparco R100? How is the fabric holding up on the R333? Wonder if vinyl would be better.
Hi deetee, I looked at the r100 too and it looks like good value. The fabric on the r333 is really good quality and still looks like new. It should last years. The fake leather seats that I use really make you sweat on a hot day so I prefer the Sparco every time, especially for the endurance races.

Hi Paul, the Sparco still feels like new. Doesn’t creak or flex. And the fabric stops you from sweating. I imagine it should last for years hopefully.

Is that little padded area in the middle of the seat comfortable? I need it for a flight main motion just want to make sure that little area in the middle is nothing to worry about.

Hi Evan, it’s lovely and comfy. It feels a bit like memory foam and you just sink into it.

I have had fanatec before but this intrigued me so yeah just dropped a lot everything will be on monthly and 2 week installments 🤣. It’s been by far the best one I’ve used. I’ve been doing lots of endurance races in it, some 24 hours and there’s still no flex or creaking. I used the standard gt omega runners that came with the rig to mount it. Sparco make their own runners too but I haven’t tried them. You may be able to use your current mount to fit it.

Hey man! Do you have an update on the squeakiness of this? I'm HIGHLY sensitive to sounds aswell.. Wouldn't want a sound when breaking and/or using it with my motion rig =)
Hi buddy, it just kept getting louder to be honest. The Sparco seat has been perfectly quiet but the XL RS seems to be pretty common with the noise. Their new RS12 may be better made but I haven’t tried one. With a motion rig the XL would be really loud.

You’re most welcome, your current seat is a really nice one. For a reclining seat I can definitely recommend the R333, it’s not cheap though.

Luckily I'm not a 6ft 6 unit like yourself and about 6 stone lighter so my GT OMega Prime seat is holding up fine lol .Looks like a great seat tho mate Happy Birthday in advance btw

I paid 80 dollars for a like new real subaru forester passenger seat it's so amazing. Trust me go get a seat from the junkyard they bolt right on your rig
