@MrGamerBazer Sure, why not? It depends on the kick. You mean 2:42? He parry a mea-geri... a front kick with a sidemoving "block". I don't see a problem.
I know right. This was the type of stuff I was taught. I prefer Iain Abernethy's interpretations. He at least makes use of throws/takedowns, grabbing and hikite among other stuff. Didier Lupo has some good stuff too. Still kind of has that "shotokanish" flavor, but not as bad as and robotic as this.
@@barrettokarate Abernethys Bunkai completly ignores any fundamental principal of body movement and has no traditional line. The stuff taught here is called "Omote" and is the kind of Bunkai which is more to give a technique a feeling than to make it effective. If you're looking for good Ura and Honto Bunkai i'd recomment Andre Bertel Sensei. He has tradition and is effective.
Nice instruction of Jion and the basic of Bunkai. But to much tension makes it look stiff. Loose it up a bit and show the dynamic with real power in next vid?
Meine Fresse...was der Sprecher aus dem off für einen Müll labert sucht Seinesgleichen..."Shorinryu aus Tomari"...echt jetzt?..."Jion bedeutet Tempelglocke"...eeeeh nö! 慈 = Ji =Freundlichkeit 恩 = On = Anmut...den Rest zu kommentieren spare ich mir
Sehr schöne Kata. Mich inspiriert die tiefe Philosophie. 💯🙏
Thanks guys, nice to see some good traditional Shotokan on youtube at last, nice work! :)
the kata comes from shorin ryu
the bunkai is just the opinion of karamitsos
The Bunkai is Comedy Gold
Thank you. Very interesting things. Blessings.

Shotokan is not the worst style at all it just that like all karate now a day people don't understand the true meaning of karate
does tis work on real life situations? like street fighting? or with enemy holdin a knife on its hand?
Not realy
I know what dose shomen uchi gokyo gokyo kote gaeshi-wrist lock throw
Wow. Nice kata performance hilarious bunkai.

Thanks so much
Que tal puñetazo le coloco a la srta!
Technically precise, and interesting Bunkai.
Osu!
Vorsrpung durch technik.
Kihon Bunkai (Basik Applikation) attacke gegenüber Dojo angriffe aber nicht Real Kampf. Es gibt drei verschiedene Niveaus eines Bunkais
OSU, kata was performed as I would expect from a senior Karateka, But I totally disagree with Bunkai involving "karate" attacks, OSU

Execution of the kata as a robot, fake bunkai devoid of practical and academic utility. All insufficiente.
