I used to go to northern Sweden and Norway to photograph the northern lights in the winter, but it’s been a very long time since I last was in the far north… I’ve always had a deep longing for the Arctic and I can’t wait to go to Lapland again! Especially as I haven’t been to Finnish Lapland yet! A wildlife photographer gave me a really helpful tip which dramatically increased the working time of my batteries (you probably already do that too), keep the batteries as close as possible to your body, that way they keep their charge much longer in those minus degrees we so love! ❄️ Thank you again for your beautiful videos and I look forward to watching new episodes soon! 🌞🧡
When my wife and I were near Ivalo recently in January, driving around to find spots to see the northern lights, standing outside without moving very much and admiring the magical and ancient, foxy, fiery northern lights for the first time in our lives, our guide/driver brought out some hot blueberry juice and made us feel at home from the inside out.
If you keep the batteries warm inside your coat near your body, the charge will last longer. And if there is a connection for a USB battery pack, your can also keep that inside your coat and use a cable to plug into the camera. I hope you can make some more videos of the landscape, villages and a traditional sauna! I love to ski across the lakes in the winter as well.

We have some unusual warm days of winter again, after a nice and cold period. We still have a lot of snow, since we got so much, but I don´t like the constant shift of the temperature, melting snow and then icy slippery paths. I am sooo sorry you lost so many fotos and videos!! Oh no!!! I know what that means, I am a fellow youtuber. My fotos and my videos are like my treasure. Around 10min from your video I completely feel you when you talks about cold and frozen hand 🖐🏻🥶 that is the worst but at the same time we feel alive... but aren't you wearing inner thin gloves under your big gloves ? That's what I try to do as much as possible 😅 well I liked that video it shows how beautiful winter is but at the same how dangerous and hard it can be for someone not well informed and ready for it. You guys are definitely strong people 🥶🔥😀
I do wear inner gloves but while taking photos I can't wear any gloves since I can't operate my camera with thick gloves and that's when my fingers truly freeze 😬 Winter is tough but also shows it beauty on the hardest days ❄

Sorry to hear about your hard dives. Always make 2 copies of your work. it is a night mare because i too ended up with loads of hard drives. I have an cloud based hard drive is actually the answer but it cost money for life to keep videos or photos on the cloud.. stumble into your videos - love it and thank you

My grandparents and ancestors were from Finland and Sweden, when I work on my family tree I often wonder how in the world did they make it before electricity, gas, it was a very hard life that’s for sure❤

What should get is a booster (batteriladdare) so you can charge your battery, or friends battery with you. They are not that expensive.
