As a user of the original Bose sleep buds, I was thrilled when the Ozlo folks came on the scene. Being the risk averse guy that I am, I just couldn't bring myself to lay out the $$$ for a product that may potentially not deliver. So I waited and waited for the Ozlo's to come out of Indiegogo purgatory. In the meantime, I was watching with great interest the Soundcore A20 development progress and the minute thy became available in wide production I ordered a pair. I received them yesterday, played with them all afternoon, slept with them last night, and I am VERY impressed. Intuitively easy to use and flawless performance (still had 50% battery after running all night). Great app, lots of options. Oh, and a price point more than $100 USD less than the Ozlo's. Add to this the fact that Ozlo appears to be a single product company, not incredibly capitalized vs Soundcore (an Anker brand) that has a wide array of products and is well capitalized and I would be concerned with the Ozlo's future customer support and viability as a company. I love these new A20's. We'll see how they hold up.
Good points and thanks for sharing.
I agree with you 100%. The only issues I had was adjusting the volume of the Masking sounds. I finally figured it out. 2 nights and flawless operation. Can't ask for more than that.
Indeed and no ear pain as I have had with the Bose and Ozlo buds
@@SidsTips It's funny, the original Bose (rounded were great, no pain. It just didn't work). The 2nd gen Bose constantly gave me ear pain. Not the case with the A20. I really hope these continue to work.
I think the problem with the 1st generation was the magnets falling off.
I agree with you. The comfort of the A20 is superior to the Bose and I assume the Ozlo buds. I can only change the entire wing unit in the Bose, whereas I can change the wing tip to one size and the ear tip to a different size. This customization with the A20 allows a more specific fitting and a much more comfortable experience for a side sleeper. Also, as an aside, after 7.5 hours of sleep, I still had 50% battery life left. With the Bose, my left right ear bud would have been drained and the left earbud would be at 28%. The A20 has proven to be vastly superior to the Bose and by extension, since the Ozlo looks the same in size and dimensions, the Ozlo also.
As for the charging cases, function.over form for me.
I think the A20 will do very well!
Thanks a lot for the video. I currently own the Bose Sleep Buds II and the Anker Soundcore A10s. I switched from Bose to Anker as I really wanted to be able to play my own sounds, and they are good for that. However, I find the A10s have a lot of connectivity issues, don't always initiate the sleep mode sound, and aren't as comfortable for me as a side sleeper. I still use the Bose as a backup, and they definitely feel more comfortable to switch to. I'm still leaning towards the A20s, as I've heard they have fixed the connectivity issues, and are more comfortable for side sleepers than the A10s. I'm just wondering if you have any experience with the A10s, and how they compare to the A20s? Cheers.
Sure thing. I have not used the A10's, so I am not much of help there.
I find that I can't sleep on the side with the A10's in, I guess that wont be better with the Ozlo's. But I usually just use one and switch it to the other ear, and honestly the A10s are plenty comfortable even in the wrong ear, if you're not laying on it.
The Ozlo ones are horrible. Similar to Bose but worse in every possible way.
