I'm digging up the subject. I just want to say that you should only do this DIY if the carbon on the keys is completely gone. I just cleaned the gold parts of the electronic cards with alcohol as well as the carbon of the keys (the carbon should become matte black again) and the keys work like new again.
Huge thank you for the video. I wasn't sure how to remove the front cover. I my case the rotary encoder for the time scale were working erratically so I desoldered it from the board and then sprayed CRC QD contact cleaner inside and rotated it several times. I repeated this 3x and then put some dielectric grease inside to reduce wear on the contacts. After assembly it works perfectly again.
Thank you very miuch for the video. I removed a few tenth of a millimeter of the black rubber inserts in the keys with 400 grit sand paper. The rubber surface became conductive again and the keys are working well. I have no idea how long the effect will last, but it seems to be another alternative .
Just a heads up - you're supposed to use an external fan to cool the board if powering it on outside the case. I think the megazoom asics are the biggest risk of overheating.

i painted with liquid wire (graphite solution) i don't know if they going to hold for long.

4 months later, how is your solution holding up?
