Joining the vessel in Houston would have kept you travelling for almost 22 hours I guess (I am speaking from my own experiences in joining vessels in U.S. ports after flying out from Bombay). Worst is being driven straight from the airport to the vessel and then taking over when completely jet lagged ! Those 22 minutes depicted the rigors of life of a Chief Mate on a pure chemical tanker !! It was nicely documented and almost on a time lapse mode. It would be an eye opener for anyone with limited knowledge of a 28 COT chemical tanker. Added to that was the tank cleaning ops and the CDI inspection too. Crossing the Panama Canal is always a welcome experience and its only us seafarers who have this privilege. I figured the 'Ginga Liger' is Japanese built and of 25k DWT. Quite a spacious CCR for a vessel of that size. Looking forward to more uploads.
Hi sir, good to Hear from you, im sure you have a ton of experience when it comes to joining vessels from the US. I agree about how hectic those straight take overs can be specially when jet lag hits. As always i appreciate seeing your comments here and im glad you enjoy the videos. Ginga liger indeed is a jap built vessel, she did have a rather large ccr/ ships office for her size. More to come soon!
One of the finest channel related to maritime industry, not like others showing only glamour in shipping.
Thank you buddy
