We have not yet had access to an EP801 Bike to test. Neater to connect to the loom above the motor, Very limited room to store any cables next to the motor connection point on most shimano powered bikes.
@@EpiceBikes yeah there is not very much space. I did look at it a few days ago. But there is some space in the downtube and maybe some cables could fit through the existing hole to the motor. The connection point for the extender should then be on the underside of the down tube, straight through the plastic shield of the battery. Maybe you don't have to go directly to the motor and go instead directly to the charging port on the inside? The outside access is not possible because it's in the way of the left crank. But that's just for the Santa Cruz bullit.
@byronjones6155 I got a 4 amp charger and a great deal on a second battery for $350 that had done only 5 cycles . With adaptor to charge battery out of bike I can charge one while using the other ,or just go trails and have both charged, very easy to swap out 😀
As usual, an excellent Epic presentation.
Did you test the EP801? Especially on the SC bullit?
And why didn't you just connect directly to the motor wires? Would be much less disassembly.
