  • This video follows part but not all of the route in • Willow Lane and The Fi... . I start from Osney Bridge, and walk down West Street and via Swan Street onto Ferry Hinksey Road, thence to Willow Lane. On Willow Lane, I walk as far as the green bridge. But I then turn onto the bank of Bulstake Stream, and follow it until I hit North Hinksey Causeway. This gives me a path parallel to Willow Lane but further south, and I can walk until I am in the garden of The Fishes.
An odd thing about this route is the little signs affixed to two bridges and a fence: Danger Bridge, Dip of Happiness, and Bridge of Death. Separately, the green bridge has got itself named Pontus Spondulicus on Google Maps. And as I mentioned in • Bulstake Stream up to ... , there is a Narnia View behind Core Filing in Osney Mead Industrial Estate.
"Circular Walk from Osney to North Hinksey - Headington, Oxford": www.headington.org.uk/maps_tr... . Follow route 2, but in reverse. After the green bridge, my route diverges from theirs.
    "Pontus Spondulicus": www.google.com/maps/place/Pon... .
"Prices from £2,595,000 Trinity House & Oriel House, Yarnells Hill, Oxford, OX2 9BE": www.thomasmerrifield.co.uk/ou... . What's truly odd about this estate agent ad is mention of the Dip of Happiness in this text "Commanding views of the dreaming spires: Oxford’s western edge lies in a loop of the River Thames, with the landscape rising quickly up out of the valley. Near the top sits Yarnells Hill, Oriel and Trinity House enjoy a large plot within an elevated position looking east, the far reaching views over Raleigh Park and The Dip of Happiness conclude with Oxfords stunning skyline and the dreaming spires.".
