@10:05 I haven't played around with Recalbox yet but I know you can point ES to pretty much run anything once you get the hang of configuring it to point to a pico8 rom directory, the extensions that are accepted (.pico8?) and the command to run it (you may need to download the pico8 libretro core). I know Batocera Linux supports pico8 out of the box - I'll be getting my Z2W in about a week and give setting it up a shot on a big monitor first - then I look forward to miniaturizing the whole setup with one of these cases for xmas if I can wait this long! lol 🎄
You can. This was right around when V2W of the case came out, so might be better off going for that given the nicer features (like rechargeable battery) it has.
Just some unknown brand rechargeable ones. No idea how long they last but can't imagine it's very long. It's just for a 10min session here and there rather than hours on end.
@@mrbig3197 did you ever solve the battery life ? i got this case now i struggle if i order a pi zero w or an pi zero w for it but the 2 seems to be so power hungry
Thank you for including all the hiccups you had! Those help A LOT preparing for a project like this.
No problem! Glad it was helpful.

Hi. Just bought this system with the rechargeable battery option and will try setting up shortly. Thanks for the video
Awesome, enjoy putting it all together!
it's 1989: imagine you show up to school with one of these. the school would have called the riot police
I created at a retro pie image for my raspberry pi 0. Would my image work on a pie zero 2
My cartrige, where the RPI 2W sits gets a little hot, thats fine right? I dont think a heatsink fits there anyway :/
Think so, I don't use mine for extended periods though.
My GPi works and the games plays good but how do I set the audio to play the sounds
Hey Pat! I used the image I mention in the vid and it worked with no tweaking necessary.
I didnt think you could use a zero 2w in the original case

so strange watching sonic on a ''gameboy''

@@IanWootten thank you for the response. was looking for a good solution for power without modding the case..
