I decided to give this a go after watching your review. 75% chance seemed good enough for me. I had two 50p sized bird poop marks on my boot, put the pack on as per the instructions, left it and came back and the marks were still there like on your failure result. However a quick 10 second hand polish with Super Resin Polish on a microfibre and they came straight out. These were two marks that I'd previously attacked with Meguairs Ultimate Compound + Dual Action and wouldn't budge, I thought a wet sand was going to be in order and this was my last resort. So the fact its gone without cutting into my clear any further is a top result.
I remember a few years back when they revealed they'd researched it properly and found it was the texture of the dropping leaving an imprint on softened clear coat rather than 'etching'. (Worst I had was just from an afternoon at the beach, even cleaned asap) Good to see they now have a user-friendly way to at least try and reverse the process. Even if it doesn't fully work every time, if you then need to remove less clear to finish the job that's a good thing isn't it? Another thought, the worst damage is going to happen in the hotter months, so that's the best time to use it, while the sun is getting the panel hot for you to begin with.
Hi Jon, It would have been interesting to have used your thermometer on those heatpacks to see what the required temp was, that way using a heat gun you would know what your max temp should be. Perhaps try the heatgun on a scrap panel with etchings and finish off with that small rotary plus srp as that would introduce more heat again. I wouldn't buy it as much too expensive for me as I am so tight. All the best
And this is why your channel is clearly NUMBER 1. The only thing that worries me is the size of that bird crap on the door. Bloody glad I don't live in that area as clearly you have flying cows 💩🤣

I'm new to this detailing world so getting my head around all the different types of products and the uses. Can you help me with a question please? I have just bought a car that has a 'Williams' paint protection treatment on it. The car is only 18 months old and in very good condition. Is there any treatment I shouldn't use as I'm wondering if it would strip the paid-for 'Williams' paint treatment. Or is it just a gimmick? Cheers. Dave
it wont work according to manufacturer paintwork is way way too old. I have one left though I will try it on something or give it away for someone else to test.
@@ForensicDetailing just had a little scroll through google and TH-cam and found that it works on practically any car with a hairdryer/ heat gun 🤷♂️ amazing really ive spent years just polishing them out 😂

I remove bird crap all the time with heat. But i use a heat gun and gradually heat up the area. A lot Cheaper than theae pads as you can use it over and over again. I. Personally think this product is a bit of a con. But the theroy behind it definitely works.
I assume I'll be wasting both time and money using it on the roof of our 19 year old Vauxhall Corsa. We've owned it from new and it has seen more birds 'A' holes than I've had hot dinners.
this product uses the same product as the military use for heating up the rations. the best way to do the same thing is to use just a normal heat gun. its very expensive to use this autoglym product you can get a cheep heat gun for about the same price. Also you are better useing a heat gun so you can regulate the heat going onto your pannel better the autoglym will juts heat and heat your car pnnal and thats not a good idea. its called Re-Flowing also if you have the heat gum you can use it too blacken your old black plastic trim. so cool idea autoglym but your better off with a heat gun.
its a friend of his car but its not a case of allowing it to happen, I could go away for a week and come back and its happened, in fact it can happen in a matter of hours. you cant always monitor you car life gets in the way.
so the reflow bag is 30 quid for 5 applications 6 quid an application. Of course its using the same tech. But they have to recreate bespoke packaging for it and fasteners, printing etc nothing is free and they do all this in house. Its not going to be the same price as the camping heater cooking bags is it? maybe autoglym have used larger quantities of the heating granuals inside it, maybe its been tweaked to heat higher or lower and for different times?? maybe it is not and the MRE bag will work? there will be guys like you that look at things like this and dismiss it which is fine. But there will be other people out there that might have high value cars that have this problem and can use the kit to solve the problem and save themselves a lot of money. put yourself in the mindset of someone that loves there car and needs to solve this problem are they going to go and strap a MRE cooking bag on the side of the car or this kit from autoglym that cost then like a tener extra or something.
yes. this is the critical point. SRP knocked out the other one with ease in about 2-3 minutes. The only counter arguement is this system fixes it without removing material. which could be preferable... but yes you make a valid point.

Cheers. Dave
Hi ya, the williams is a ceramic coating.. so wash it with something like carpro reset, and just top it up with a SI02 spray like carpro reload.
Great, thankyou. Appreciate that.
can you do a 26JPN review?????
Should have put a temp gauge on it see how hot it gets....maybe thats why its pro use only....can damage the clear out? Im ooooouttt!
John thanks you your channel
This work on bug splatter etching?
in theory yes same rules apply on pre-reqs though.
who makes them polishers?
Flex 👍
Will it fix scratches?
no mate, at least not the juicy ones you can see easily under normal light
Try it on the clubsport or the e36
it wont work according to manufacturer paintwork is way way too old. I have one left though I will try it on something or give it away for someone else to test.
@@ForensicDetailing just had a little scroll through google and TH-cam and found that it works on practically any car with a hairdryer/ heat gun 🤷♂️ amazing really ive spent years just polishing them out 😂
What about cellulose paint , this is what I deal with every day, I don't do modern vehicles , and the only reason there's clear coat because the painter can't spray 😊
its says in the faq's all clearcoated surfaces but yer interesting. maybe one for AG that is.
Great content again 👍
So it's basically an MRE heater at 10x the price.. still cool though, something different, they're taking a risk and trying to innovate.
Very interesting product
price point?
30 or 40 quid
That’s a Polo not a Golf.
I remove bird crap all the time with heat. But i use a heat gun and gradually heat up the area. A lot Cheaper than theae pads as you can use it over and over again. I. Personally think this product is a bit of a con. But the theroy behind it definitely works.
And a gear gun which is designer to ment and strip paint can easily do that to your car
This is a much safer option for £5
I’ll pay the 5er
I assume I'll be wasting both time and money using it on the roof of our 19 year old Vauxhall Corsa. We've owned it from new and it has seen more birds 'A' holes than I've had hot dinners.
buff it out mate this product wont be suitable due to age.
@@ForensicDetailing Thanks for the reply. Your channel content is very informative and I really appreciate your 'no nonsense' approach.
Nice product! & Amazing review! But would I but it? Probably not :)
this product uses the same product as the military use for heating up the rations.
the best way to do the same thing is to use just a normal heat gun.
its very expensive to use this autoglym product you can get a cheep heat gun for about the same price.
Also you are better useing a heat gun so you can regulate the heat going onto your pannel better the autoglym will juts heat and heat your car pnnal and thats not a good idea.
its called Re-Flowing also if you have the heat gum you can use it too blacken your old black plastic trim.
so cool idea autoglym but your better off with a heat gun.
thanks / looks super magic :)
I had really bad etching and tool my car to a body shop, they walked indoors took there heatgun and did it within 5 minutes for free
i think this is more for plastic panels because a heat gun could cause damage to the plastics
Mate, if that bloke allowed for a dropping that size to etch he deserves the bollox!
its a friend of his car but its not a case of allowing it to happen, I could go away for a week and come back and its happened, in fact it can happen in a matter of hours. you cant always monitor you car life gets in the way.
@@ForensicDetailing I am sure the seagulls where I live aim for my sons car :)
I've cleaned on off within 30 minutes on a BMW. Couldn't believe how heavily etched it was.
@@ForensicDetailing Right, BUT are you impressed with my ability to be while being an American?
@@WestfieldFreshAir dark paint?
Oh wow, they are using MRE cooking bags. You can get those for like £5 comes with a complete meal too !.
My word!!, they are charging £40 for some MRE cooking bags. Save yourself £35 and just get the real thing. Must show this to @bigclive
so the reflow bag is 30 quid for 5 applications 6 quid an application.
I did not here anything about lacquer, so no issue I suppose.
Ive had much better results with a simple hairdryer. Takes a while longer but its fine to be honest, its not like you do it everyday!
Just use a hairdryer and watch the bird poo haze disappear in front of your eyes.. heat is the key thing here.
These been out a while now
Sorry, but seems so much easier and faster to take a small area like that out with a buffer...
yes. this is the critical point. SRP knocked out the other one with ease in about 2-3 minutes. The only counter arguement is this system fixes it without removing material. which could be preferable... but yes you make a valid point.
Im sure thats a polo?
