- The Flakpanzer 341 in War Thunder is a Panther Tank that's been retrofitted with a double barrelled 37mm turret. What is basically an Ostwind II on steroids, this thing is absolutely crazy!
The Coelion in War Thunder is a twin 37mm German anti air. If you can imagine an Ostwind but it has a roof, insane armour and good mobility this is pretty much what you get. The Panther G is one of the best tanks in the game so the fact you have an SPAA version of it is pretty amazing!
With 50mm of penetration you can side shot most vehicles in the game. Light tanks are at your mercy and on top of all this, it's a 37mm APHE round so much more devastating than solid shot.
This is a super dangerous anti-air and probably one of the best in the game!

When the Coelian is more realistic than the Ostwind II but its locked because "paper tank"
and the funnier thing is that the Ostwind II is even more of a paper design than the Coelian
Yet the Soviets get the Yensei, the Italians get the R3 T20, and the Japanese get a majority of their WW2 tree (Ho-Ri most notably that never made it past wooden mock-up). Genuinely don't know why they insisted on removing these, when people just see a cool vehicle they want to work towards. Everyone knows Balance is subjective to Gajin, lmao
Coelian wasn't even paper by the end, it had a full scale wooden mock turret. This is truth that we know from a picture of the mock turret installed, far more than we know of the Ostwind II. The Ostind II doesn't even have a single image of it, only a drawing. The existance of the tank itself is debated. Meanwhile, the Maus is still gone despite a fully finished prototype (still more than the Ho-Ri Prototype/Production that never got more than a wooden scale model)
Also fun fact, for how much we love the Wirbelwind and Ostwind, less than 150 total were made (between 87 and 105 Wirbel, exact unknown due to record issues, and up to 44 Ostwinds out of a planned 100.) The kugelblitz also only had 5 made. The highest amount of self propelled AA was the Möbelwagen with 240 built.

@@KBDFProductions ZSU-37-2 Yenisey was a competitor to the Shilka... it lost to a Shilka so Soviets never used it... so it's real and was made and used in trials so it gets place in the game... soviets found 37mm cool... but they preffered 23mm brrrrrrt

Back when the removal of these vehicles was announced, I was around 2.3-2.7 in Germany. I ground all the way to the Maus and got all four before they were removed. It's part of the reason I absolutely hate Ground RB.

I remember running around like a mad man in this thing back before the 37mm AP pen nerf, it was hilarious just shredding anything I got on the side of. 6.3 wirblewind.

It's apart of the anti wallhack gayjin released. Your game only renders stuff it thinks you can see.

That says a lot about the WW2 Germans TBH; willing to try almost anything if it had the possibility of getting an advantage.
Back when they said they were gonna remove this tank, I grinded like hell to get the Coelian, Tiger II 105, and Panther II. I put a little bit of research into the Maus, since I wasn't as determined to get that, but I'd want the option to research it whenever I wanted.
Now I've got a talisman on my Tiger II 105 and it's my favorite Tiger II variant.
It's sadly by far the most expensive
in hindsight i wish i put some points into the panther 2 since back then , this was the only one i could research out of them all but i didn't because i didn't know they were gonna remove them

While technically true, it was no excuse to remove vehicles that were crucial to a German 6.7 ground lineup.

@@JonesCA62769 I've been shot by a hill before, scanned the entire forward arc for enemies and nothing, but then the hill shot me again destroying my gun and an XM-1 just started existing directly under my gun less than 100m away. Absolutely ridiculous.
I don't know why, but my favorite OddBawZ videos are when he plays AA and just carries the team.
I love watching people's miserable attempts at revenge killing. At 12:00 we have here TheeHorse attempt to kill Odd only to die to a Panther, at 12:39 he hops onto a Grizzly and tries to long-range Odd, realizing he can't kill Odd he goes for other targets and, 13:49. After that he attempts to Flank Odd and dies again to a Panther at 18:00, And then he went back in another plane and... 18:44.
At the end of the game you can see him calling Odd the n-word in chat. He mad lmao

5:34 This happens to me a lot. Enemy planes don't render until they are right on top of you. Getting sprayed from thin air is not fun. Wonder if it's a bug with the NVIDEA cards
Ive been getting consistent render problems, but its usually console players on the ground. Audio is still the major problem for air.

I prefer the coelian over the kugel for AA but I still run both in my lineup, the magazine problem the kugel has is not present in the coelian nor does the coelian overheat as fast and the kugel.

I have this, the 105 Tiger II, and the Panther II cause my squadron back in the day required those vehicles to play in SQBs lol
They are still the best tanks for 6.7 SQBs

Now the BI is the meta in air, rest of 6.7 is fairly balanced now. I prefer SQBs over regular matches even, sad that not people plays it
I've been playing lots of spaa cause I just hate planes in ground rb and the Coelian and the kugelblitz are my favorite non radar spaa since they have closed tops and can't easily be destroyed by a single strafing run.

the fact that you had time to repair your tracks and get into position to shoot that poor m16 MGMC is actually awesome, the armour really helps and makes all the difference, that and the twin 37s heheh
it's funny because out of the infamously removed german tanks, the coelian was the least talked about one. which is a shame because this is actually my preferred SPAAG for a good amount of BRs

Sad part of these removed vehicles is the cost keeps going up for them. When I bring this, panther 2, and tigor 105 out together its a have fun but maybe lose money lineup

The biggest downside to these removed tech tree vehicles is their repair costs are insanely high and stupid. If you lose the Panther II and Tiger 10.5 in a match your looking at 25k SL just for those two. It's ridiculous. Especially when your getting clubbed by British APDS all day long. I don't mind being stomped. But making my WW2 vehicle costs 15k SL that gets obliterated if hit anywhere by british post WW2 era tanks that cost 1/5th to repair what mine is is dumb.

IT's such a shame that other nation don't have any comparable SPAA around this BR either, because all of the lower teir SPAA are virtually useless against the 6.7 Me 262 A-1/U4 spam.
Those of us who joined in 2013/14 will remember this, and there was only USSR v GER tanks. I wholeheartedly wish I'd not stopped playing all those years ago and got the Maus, Panther 2 and Coelian back then. I'd truly be unstoppable now!

I really hope someday Gaijin adds back these quote/unquote "Paper tanks". I mean yeah they were never built, but who cares? We have exact specifications for them, might as well see how they would have functioned IRL and have fun while we're at it. Maybe bring them back once a year like they've been doing with the Maus.
This one has a prototype build tho. Unlike the fantasy tank Ostwind 2.
@@Kanalankettu Not true, we know a working prototype was completed for the Ostwind II at the end of January 1945. However no photos have survived to this day, but the documentation exists.
As for the Coellion only a wooden mockup of the turret was ever completed and slapped onto a panther chassis. No working prototype of the finished product was ever built.
Speaking of not spawning SPAA first, you should give the 3.7 SPAA lineup a try. Using the Ostwind and Wirbelwind first at that tier is fun and surprisingly effective. I first spawn my Ostwind all the time and often double ace or better. The Wirbel too. That Penetration nerf didn't hurt it as much as people might think. Its still a nasty thing against tanks.

Gaijin really has to fix that, happens in tanks all the time too, and this vid is 8 months old and it still happens! Same with sounds, pop in out of nowhere or don't play at all sometimes... game has just gotten worse unfortunately :( I love it but hate it more than love it atm.
I love this thing. Side shooting in close quarters or AA, it is a lot of fun. Penetration values could be higher though, comoared to other AA at this BR…

I've had experiences with ghost tanks. Was lining up a shot on the urban sweden map(or whatever the one is with a 4 way entrance cap at B. Went to pull the trigger and thing up and disappeared until it fired then I popped my round in it.

I had to buy gold to get it, the 10.5cm, maus and panther 2. My work schedule was erratic and I just didn't have teh time. I think I had to burn through the tiger 2 P to work on the 10.5, but I had worked my way up enough to just GE the others. SO 5 tanks bought with GE. Worth it? Somewhat. Panther 2, 10.5, and flakpanzer 341 I have had some fun with, but I am not going to 7.7 with a maus and just get yeeted by heat and missiles. Also the 341 is quite fun, as alot of idiots try to top down me thinking I am a ostwind.
5:34 I've reported this invisible plane issue a while back then. It was a bomber, beyond 0.8km-ish distance it was appearing as if it was 4km away. They accepted my bug report and "fixed it", now it got worse, many planes appear/disappear randomly, glad I'm not the only one realizes that.

4:16 The A26 is pretty chonky. I was aiming for the cockpit so the shells weren't getting shrapnel far enough in to the plane to cause serious damage.
