The Law of Averages is true. In statistices they call it the law of large numbers. The example is flipping a fair coin. The chance of a coin landing on heads or tails is 50% or 1:1. What can happen is that you can flip a coin and get heads three times in a row. But the law of large numbers says that the more times you flip the coin, the closer the total will move toward an even distribution of heads and tails. Even though each flip is an independent event and does not affect the next, yet the numbers will tend to even out. So the Law of Averages is true.
