Empty Motorcoach to Chicago for my Birthday. Jim's Original Chicago Dog! Family came with

- Celebrating a COVID 19 birthday I had the opportunity to get behind the wheel again. My company sent me to Chicago to pickup a few coaches that were left up there before the COVID 19 pandemic started. I took this opportunity to get my stir crazy family out of the house and on a much needed road trip.
Many precautions were taken before going on this trip. We were meticulous about making sure all vehicles were sanitized and our itinerary did not require us to be out of the vehicles needlessly. My wife and kids stayed within the coach at all times only getting out of the van to board the coach when we changed vehicles.
I couldn't have asked for a better birthday! Driving a coach bus with my family on board, Jim's original double dog and pork chop sandwitch, and a quick trip through the windy city. What more could I ask for!

My Uncle didn't have a birthday on March 23, 2020. We know the feeling. C' Mon, eating at Jim's you can't have just one. Any meat with a bone has flavor compared to boneless meat.

Can I share a fun time I had when I was in Victoria Australia travelling coaches as we had the train line getting redone.
I know a lot of the drivers travelling so much and I had my guide dog. Yes, I am blind. One day being country people and in for a bit of fun. They made a coach non fuel powered for a picture. This was just fun no malice or other intent. They used my guide dogs lead to hook him to the bull bar and roped me to the back. Took the pics and said it one of us got tired the other could do the work on their own.
It was fun and no other intent. Aussie country fun with man and his dog who would play along with it in fun. These drivers liked and respected us

Hey! Love your channel! I went to Jim's Original yesterday! It was delicious! I also started driving motorcoach part time for a local college in West Michigan. 9 buses, mostly Prevost H3's. A couple of Temsa 35 footers. Just got my CDL and loving it! Keep up the good work!

Happy Birthday James. The last Prevost I drove was a new Prestige, almost 50 years ago. It had a 6 speed Spicer manual (on the floor) and built for the Canadian west coast market. It was a beauty of a coach, for that time. Unfortunately, the the economy died and I moved to trucking to make a living.

Hey Albert. Great question. Its for our Electronic logging system. That box records all movement of the vehicle.

Hi Trapiche! That is a great question. I enjoy driving motor coaches of all make and models. But if I have to choose my favorite it would be our 1947 GM coach that is a manual transmission. We only use it during parades and special occasions and it does not go far from our facility. One day I will have to do a vlog on it

Hi J, understood, I bet it is quite a ride, in terms of newer busses, which do you consider a good buy? Provost, MCI etc...?
Prevost are really fancy and comfortable. But the most balanced and reliable coach on the market is an MCI. I loved the old D models but the J 4500 are my favorite.
