- This is a story about fixing and servicing the legendary vintage Seiko King Quartz watch Cal 5855-8010, that Seiko developed almost 50 years ago alone with it's lines of Grand, Lord and other quartz watches. The appearance of the quartz watches made life of producers of the mechanical watches very difficult, causing many manufactures to disappear.
The Part II of this video shows a process of assembling as a part of the quartz watch service.

Thanks again keep it up!
Thank you, my friend! I am very glad that you liked it. 😊
Hi Valentech, nice video. Do you service watches for customers also? Have a KQ 0853 from 1976 works but in need of a service. Regards Andrew Sweden
Hi Andrew, and thank you for the comment! Nice KQ you have, very historical movement. Unfortunately I do not do service for customers, sorry.
Does this movement have a temperature compensation circuit?
I'd think it is not. I understand that some Seiko quartz movements such as 9723 have two crystals for temperature compensations. Seiko 5855 has one crystal.
How do you remove the crystal from the case? Thanks!
Hello, Tobtok! To remove the crystal, you need to press out the bezel.
@@ValentechTime I accidently broke the glass trying to separate it from the bezel haha.. Do you know where I can possibly find a replacement for a King Quartz seiko 4823-8110 ? Thanks a lot!
@@TobtokOfficial Sorry to hear about the broken crystal. These things are happening all the time. The most frustration comes when the replacement is not available. I searched and could not find the crystal for the 4823-8110. Try to measure the internal diameter of the bezel, where the crystal goes in. Should be something between 29 and 32 mm in .5 mm increments. If you find out that dimension precisely, then the replacement could be found by looking to the same size of crystals for other Seiko watches. Also, very important the thickness of the crystal. Take a note of it too.
