Hey dr Ali, I love your videos. I learn soo much from you♥️ I’ve heard a few of these stuff, but never so much. My niece was overdue, her due date was counted wrong and she ended up being born at 42 weeks weighting 12lbs. My sister in law gave birth naturally, without any pain control, she was declined… but that’s Poland. Can you do a video about getting pregnant while being on SSRI? There are so many females struggling with depression (including me), who want to get pregnant, but there’s very little information about being on meds while planning and being pregnant. I know ideal would be to get off them, but that’s not always the case. I’m sending you ❤️
Feels like the OB/nurse talk as if these potential risk are “more than likely.” They are not reassuring, like I understand the risk but also I understand it’s a small percentage. When they talk about it as probable, I feel that just worries mothers more and can also add to delaying labor due to stress.
@@ELH603hey girlie! I feel ya. I was 11 days past my due date when my son was born. I felt like I was gonna be pregnant forever. I went into labor on my own at 41+3, had him at 41+4. He was a big, healthy boy, 10lbs. Everyone kept worrying about me and telling me to go get induced but I personally didn't want to because of the unnecessary interventions that come with it if baby isn't ready. Labor stopped, and they ended up having to induce me to get labor started again. But that just caused my contractions to be inconsistent and ended up having a c section because he wasn't in the right position to come out. And they tried to move him but he wouldn't budge. Now he's a VERY strong 8 month old who's starting to walk. Going late isn't bad as long as the baby is happy. Hope everything is going well.
What about if you had the mirena IUD and never got a period once it was in place, but you got it removed and got pregnant before your first period? Would you just have to have an ultrasound to get the EDD?
I always ovulate later in my cycle. I am currently pregnant and past my due date according to my doctor. But i ovulated day 19 not day 14 but since it is within 5 days they wont change it. Why is that? I dont think im due until tomorrow but they have me 4 days over already and want to induce...
@@Veenaali786 it was okay. Definitely prefer natural labor. I've had one natural labor and 3 induced. I have had epidurals with induced labors and no epidural with natural. The induced is more painful in my opinion. There are more risks with inducing labor. I'm pregnant again and have a midwife and delivering naturally at birth center so I won't be induced again
@@lindseybast2888 i will be induced tomorrow. I'm 2cm dilated for a week not progressing. My due date crossed yesterday (1st Oct 2024) and now it's my 41 week of pregnancy. I don't know it's best to be induced or wait.
That would depend on when you ovulate in your cycle. If you ovulate right on day 14, you conceived around April 19th, but some women ovulate on day 8, day 10, day 12. You most likely conceived between April 13 to April 19.
Not lying: I was due 9/2, but did not want to see this world until 9/29.
This was very interesting to know. I never thought about this

I've had 6 babies, 5 boys and one girl. She was our only late baby, born at 41 weeks. She is still the one always late, never ready on time lol.
😂 Maybe she has Ethiopian blood we are never on time

I SO LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!! I added TikTok just to see your videos :)
I’m about to turn 42 weeks tomorrow and my OB strongly recommends an induction. I’m freaking out! Any recommendations Dr Ali?
Hi dr Ali , do u advocate for vbac patients or a vaginal birth after a C-section ?? How do I find my rights as a patient and what do I advocate for ??
I’m 3 days overdue & my baby is big & im scared
How did your delivery go? My due date is today and I'm getting worried she's not going to want to come out any time soon!

I loved this video!! My first was born 2 weeks early !!! Does this mean my next could possibly be as well?

Did you end up getting induced?
@@Myeyesburnbabyburn yes was induced at 42 weeks according to doctor. I still believe I was only 41 weeks.
@@lindseybast2888 how was your induction experience?? Was it more painful than natural labour?? Does it involve risk for babies and mothers??

Can't wait for your vlog videos 😍😍😍😍😍
Do these risks increase for a woman over 35? How much?
I had my period 5 April to 10 April, when did I get pregnant
